TBE has her at 394.
But if she wins Bali, she's about #153.

WTA website has her ranked 234 at 10 September 2007

Right but with 2006 points off, she'll actually start this week at 394.

She has a special ranking of 12 that she can use for 12 months :bounce:

OMG 12? Then why wasn't she seeded #3 for Bali?

She hasn't played in a year so go figure  Hingis was in the top 20 in no time after having no ranking so it's no biggie...

You can only use Special Ranking to enter a tournamet, but not to be seeded in it ;)

Who cares.
For years Lindsay tried to avoid other top players in earlier rounds by being the highest ranked player in the world, hoping that by the time she got to play them she was prepared.

In many cases the total opposite happened, she was able to beat the players she had issues with in earlier rounds but did not seem to be able to beat them later on in a tournament.

She's playing on her terms.
She's prepared to play Bali and if any player starts looking ahead to another match, they're going to be in for a rude awakening.

Yeah, pretty much. It'll take her some time to get a decent ranking again but right now it's about taking it one match at a time and seeing what happens.

I'm just happy that she's back. :)

she'll be back in top 50 really fast.

She'll be back to near-best soon. Pounding balls at the lines and reducing her opponents to spectator status. She'll be back to the top 10 next summer.

Damn, I remember in 2002 when Lindsay came back of knee surgery, every major tournament she entered she was seeded 3 or 2, and she was ranked 12 or sometinhg, now that rule doesn´t exist anymore... WTA always screwing Lindsay´s plans

Yeah, the WTA got rid of special seedings at the end of 2004. The last time the rule was in effect was with the Williams sisters.

Yep it just took Hingis around 6 tournament to get top 20.....Lindsay will be there in no time.
