I have never seen her forehand that effective and powerful. She really deserved this win, as much as I hate to admit it.

I hope this motivates Venus and Serena for revenge

Congrats, Enna.

Agreed about the forehand. If she can consistently play it like she did in this Open, then I think it has the potential to become the best forehand on tour. She has so much variety on it, and she can hit it from anywhere in the court.

The backhand actually was a little bit underwhelming, especially in the Venus match.

Glorious stuff from Henin this week:
Power, Aggression - All Out Attack. The kind of tennis that should be putting bums on seats everywhere: unfortunately Justine doesn't look like .... ah never mind.

Serena may have not "kicked the shit out of all your faves...", but she has beaten a fair amount of the top players this year. She has beaten Henin, Jankovic, Sharapovax2, Vaidisovax2, Peerx3, Bartoli, Safina, etc.

Granted the only wins I care about are the ones over Henin, Jankovic, and Sharapova.

The beat-downs of Sharapova were the best. :worship:

forehand was impressive, backhand was good, serve was excellent, volleys were spot-on, but the most impressive thing remains her footwork and the way she moves on the court

As much as I love to see her backhand, her forehand was really the constant in her game. She could rely on it. Her backhand, to me felt a little under-used. But I think it's because everyone thinks it's her forehand that will break down, so everyone keeps hammering that side

Yup... she did fooled a lot of the players with that...

"OK, her forehand is weak... so I'm going to hit the ball there.... (whacks the ball to Justine)... now let's see how she.... what the... it's already Game?"

Oh yeah...you better believe that is already in the making....ask sharapova and hingis baby. The thing thats different with Venus and Serena from the other girls is that they never fear their oponnent..even when they didnt dominate in their early years and lost....they never feared them...unlike the girls that feared them when they dominated. Now that miss Henin has somewhat stolen a lil of their glory..you'd better believe Venus and Serena is about to get on dat ass now baby lol...ESPECIALLY Serena....lol
