of course venus and serena should be ranked higher but they are always injured-unless they change the ranking system to how many tournys you pull out of, the only way things will change is if they play more.
sharapova, jankovic and ivanovic dont deserve no.2-as ive said a million times, aside from henin everyone is pretty close and sadly none of them are playing consistently great tennis and most of them lack belief

you want Williams to be rank 1 and 2 even if they played grand slams only , no , you must deal with idea that ranking is your hard work all over the year , but not morre than 17 tournement , cause this'll lead to injuries to females .

AN over simplification of Qaulity Points as i remember, basically is awarding MORE points for the higher ranked players you beat no?

You know what, leave them alone. Sveta beat who was put in front of her. True, she SUCKS in finals, but give the girl a break! She's got game and we all know it. And she's made the same amount of slam finals as sharapova. You're all dissing her simply cuz she's more understated than most other player.That's not her fault.

Based on form this year I think Jankovic or even Ivanovic should be #2 instead of Sveta. I like Sveta but she just hasnt played that well this year at all.

That's it! Quality points are just making the rankings more complicated but they don't change too much... it's nothing but excuses, Sveta is a deserved No. 2!

Sveta has worked hard to reach number two, and has had a great year, so lay off her and cut her some slack, she deserves this ranking.

Making the finals of Doha, Indian Wells, Berlin, Rome and the US Open grants her the No.2 rank. One of the main factors that eludes the top ranking for her is the fact that she has lost all 5 finals. :help:

Her ranking will drop soon enough unless she starts pulling herself together mentally.
