As everyone was talking about beating both Williams sisters in one tournament, which Justine has just done, I started to think if anyone has beat both Belgians (Kim and Justine) in the same tournament? They have played in the same tournaments a lot of times, maybe even more than the Sisters, because they didn't like to play the same tournaments. So, anyone? :wavey:

I can remember Myskina beating Kim in the SF and Justine in the F in Leipzig 2003 ...

Hingis did it in Filderstadt in 2000. She defeated Justine 63 30 ret., and then she crushed Kim in the final 60 63.

I've just remembered. Mauresmo did it in Australian Open 2006 (semifinal and final), but both were retirements. :tape:

Oh, that too

Had Lindsay won the final that year she would have beaten both Belgians and both Williams sisters in the one tournament :(

Back-to-back "clean" wins belong only to Lindsay at Zurich-2002 (though she lost to Schnyder in the final afterwards).
Myskina also overcame both Belgians back-to-back at Leipzig-2003: Kim in SF via ret. (while trailing); "clean" win over Justine in the final. She's the only one to have defeated them when they were No.1 and 2 in the world :p
And of course Mauresmo at AO-2006. Two back-to-back wins via ret (while leading both times).
