if she were around, that is. if radwanska hadn't done her back and forth thing, masha would still be here, having beaten kuzzy handily. and man, oh man, would she have taken a spanking to henin... but i guess we'll have to wait till... well, maybe the yec, or the ao next year? but you watch out, you carlos lover, you: masha is coming for you!:worship:

If Maria gets raped by Serena 1-6 2-6 and 1-6 1-6 and gets tortured by Venus 1-6 3-6, how the hell is she suppose to kill off Henin who knocked both sistas out in straight sets. Maria has fallen back.

Justine is not the same Justine from last year's USO. She handles power players much better, serves much better and returns much better.

come on, people, she would at least have put up a better fight than the sisters! i'm pretty sure she would at least have taken a set, don't you think (remember last year?)? and then, once she has the set, you never know...

but i'll tell you this, she wouldn't have given up as haplessly as we saw the sisters fade the last couple of days. masha would've gone down fighting, if, that is, she'd have gone down at all!

here's my bold prediction for the yec: masha beats justine in straights and starts a winning story that culminates in at least two slams and the olympics gold the next year!:D

gamesmanship brought her down, not her form. i mean, come on, do you really believe that radwanska has the game to bring down masha on a fair day? remember istanbul this year? on clay? 6-0 in the final set? thank you!

Maybe Radwanska doesn't have the form to take Maria out on a fair day but Maria's serve and return let her down big time on that fateful day so it was her form if only for that one day!

This is really the most idiotic thing about WTAworld. If someone offers a valid criticism of your favorite, reply by dragging their favorite through the mud.
By her standard, and by what was expected, Sharapova has had an abyssmal year.
By her standard, and by what was expected, Jankovic has had a stellar year.

Note the difference. When and If Jankovic makes a breakthrough and wins a Slam then naturally we can raise expectations and rip her on the same level as Sharapova is ripped.

i think marsha would have whipped serena, venus, justine if she were in the top half of the draw. it's all WTA's and petrova's fault that she's stuck at the bottom and hence losing the plot.

um, "WHEN", (or, "IF") can we expect this rather miraculous breakthrough? let's see, justine owns jelena. ana owns jelena. the williams sisters have winning records against her. she's not getting any younger.

so, i repeat, "WHEN", (or, "IF") do you expect this breakthrough to happen? the yec? nope. the ao '08: nope: that's either masha, serena, or justine. the french ' 08: nope: that's justine again. wimby '08: nope, that's either venus, masha, or serena. the us... oh, i could go on, but i think you get my drift.

ROFL! Providing the much needed comedic relief that all Justine and Williams fans needed over the past few days. Thanks!

Wait til' she drops down to #81 in the world or catching a virus, being off the tour for a year and coming back to win slams or an Olympic Gold, that's when I would call Sharapova underrated. But before that it is all hypothetical. I could have said that had Serena play just one day later she would have beaten Henin, or when Venus play one day earlier and had her forehand gone in more she WOULD HAVE won. Well the fact is, not, Serena lost, Venus lost and most importantly Maria lost. So no need to dwell on the past. Move on from your own little dream world!
