??

did you guys notice that? On the matchball it looked that as soon as Venus saw Henin return come back she just kind of already shrugged and swatted the ball away, it was out by like 7 meters

I didn't notice it. Her grunt at the end told me that she disappointed with that ball/hit.

Venus was physically spent in a way that she wouldn't have been in the late 90s or early part of this decade. It may be to do with her anaemia.

Make no doubt about it, she underestimated Henin's athleticism and ability to square up to her. And it all backfired.

You would taught that at 4-5 (30-40) and on her own serve, she would just swat out the ball on purpose? :tape:

So, what has she been trying to do for the past 1 3/4 hours? Losing? :retard:

Sure, she broke Henin back and then intentionally hit the matvhbal out. Get real.

Well, at least she was hitting a lot deeper than Serena...her serve sucked, though. Justine's body is so absolutely fit. She doesn't seem to have an ounce of fat on her, She's pure, lean, muscle and amazingly gifted. i'm in awe. Wish Venus could have pulled it off though. Hmm, Justine just seems way more serious and focused than Serena and Venus. Well, in the end, all 3 are great champions.

how is someone commenting that anemia can make someone physically tired an excuse? When Justine lost to Bartoli, wasn't just about everyone, including Justine, trying to figure out what went wrong. That's what people do, they analyze players and matches, if no one did that, how would anyone ever improve or correct mistakes?

Yes, she did everything she could to give Justine the match, but she is so good that she just was able to lose the match at 7-6/6-4... and she almost failed to put that ball out... ahah

Venus is a fighter to the last ball, she wouldn't do that.

This is now 2 summer following Wimby win she is exhausted.
One would have thought she and her coaching staff would work on it

Venus would never LITERALLY give up. But I think her body had: Justine, little Juju, was the fitter and more resilient player.

Contrary to what Papa Williams says, Justine is hard as nails, and not his daughters.

eww, this is the best excuse you can come up with?

Venus has always been a tough competitor. She's not gonna give anything away, ESPECIALLY a match point. She did not win 6 slams just by giving stuff away.

Who cares ... Venus lost and loooked awful in second set. You can denied it. Maybe if she played on the same day as Justine it would be difrent score.

Whatever happen Queen V will work on it, and next time she will kick Juju ass :p

This was a close and tough match. An extra days rest did Justine a lot of good!

A day's rest is more than enough rest for any athlete. Jesus, there was a time when top singles players played doubles as well.

I don't know but since 3 all Juju serving Love 15, something was hurting Vee, I think it was her leg cause when she was Love 40 she asked for the trainer again...

THis is Venus we're talking about. She doesn't give up she would have beat just if it wasn't for the anmia, and the 3 set battle with Jankovic.

I meant that Venus didn't stop fighting, she had the belief she could win thid after she broke back, ofcourse if something was wroing with her yesterday so should work it out..
Ho, and you can't compare that match to that Henin-Bartoli match...:tape:

Enough with the exuses!

If you knew anything about anemia, you would realize it is anything but an excuse. You should be especially mindful considering that Justine herself has suffered health problems before.
