Too good today. Best player in the world. No doubt! Congrats to her. She deserves everything she has.

Say what you want about her....like her or not...the girl plays AMAZING TENNIS!! And its even more amazing because of her height. She matched Venus and Serena pound for pound, shot for shot, and has taken them both out!! Congratulations Justine. I was never part of the "clay court specialist" crowd and now there should be NO DOUBT FROM ANYONE. She took out two champions in Venus and Serena who took the other two slams this year and who have 2 US Open titles themselves. Great match from Justine!!! NOW TAKE THE TITLE!! :worship:

If she mentally tired after beating Serena at Wimbledon, imagine how tired she'll be right now. I hope she's learned from her loss against Bartoli and doesn't crumble in the final against Sveta.

What she's shown against Serena and Venus is absolutely amazing. This is the tennis we were all waiting for, when the top players could play against eachother at their best.

Justine is also without a doubt the most annoying player out there..

Congrats Justine. I don't like you as a player but you deserved the victory. Much props. Great to see a Williams' supporter starting this thread.

Yes I agree, I mean I never liked her before but after watching this match I have huge respect for her and the way she plays the game.

she gets everything she can out of that little body. Too bad Hingis is too lazy to do the same.

Unfortunately, she's just indestructible. She would also destroy Federer if he challenged her to a duel.

Without a doubt...

If you don't enjoy watching Henin playing like this, you don't know shit. The Female Federer.

Justine Henin. Undoubtably the best player since the Graf/Seles era.

Along with Venus and Serena, I agree.

Hingis, Sharapova and even Davenport pale in comparison to that type of quality in terms of athleticism and power.

Well the top player isn't always the most popular and liked...ie Hewitt but you can't have everything.

Good match. Hope Justine proves in the final that she is the best.

Still a good tourney from Venus. And she's still 7-2 leading in the H2H ;)

And sorry, but Serena is still the best player of the era. Justine and Venus are seconds in that respect, although they are closing in.

Justine is by far the best player. And on her best surface, she's not even challenged.

She is amazing, and truly the best player in the world right now. :worship:
She defeated both Williamses (the toughest opponents on tour) in straights. It is just awesome.

Congrats to Justine! She really deserves the rank she has. I hope she does well in the final tomorrow. Venus is still number one in my heart though! LoL :hearts:

The best player since Graf/Seles? That's still Serena. I am a huge Justine fan, but let's wait until tomorrow AND until she has won her 8th slam and then we can discuss...

Undisputed best player of 2007, for sure.

If you include the YEC of 2006 as well, she has defeated everyone who has mattered this past 12 months. Venus, Serena, Mauresmo, Ivanovic, Jankovic, Sharapova, Kuznetsova

It's been a very good year for her - and it just got a whole lot better.

Still, there's 4 more slams in 2008 and the Olympics and it all resets - should be a good season :)

yes she is.
After the graf era, the seles era, the hingis era, the venus era, the serena era, it's justine turn finally!

i can't believe she played like that with her height disadvantage being as big as it is\\\\

PROPS to Justine. ALLEZ the BOSS!!!! :worship:

I watched the match live today and have to say that I was stunned by Henin's ability, if only because I was stunned by Venus' ability and she managed to defeat her. To beat the sisters back to back, at the U.S. Open, in straight sets no less is a remarkable accomplishment. I don't want to like this girl but her talent and ability to utilize her talent are amazing.

The Mighty Midget Henin is simply amazing at the moment. This little spitfire plays some unbelievably powerful tennis especially for a women of such a small stature. Amazing. I'm not a Henin fan on a personal level, but I respect her tennis ability immensely!!

Henin is not that small  At 1,67 she has the normal height of a woman, not everyone is 1,87 like Venus :p

Bullshit. ;) I've always thought of Rodger as the The Male Henin (except taller and goofier).

"I believe Venus can whip anyone here," Papa Williams declared last night before Venus' Flushing Meadows practice. "I don't think no one here is going to beat Venus."
