Ive heard it from several experts, saying it could dominate the way Federers forehand dominates the Mens Game.

she will never dominate with her forehand because her speed and footwork isnt good enough. federer's is!

Her speed is increasing for every year. The problem with her before was that she used to rush her forehand. After the Jankovic i almost cried after I saw how she hit 5-6 forehands and still hit a winner. Now if you have followed Ana for the past couple of years you would know that she had to hit a winner pretty quickly with her forehand, or she would hit an ue.

She will never dminate with her speed, but with brute power.

No, you saw against venus at wimbly, venus was running down nearly every forehand, its not all about power you know. federer's forehand doesn't 'dominate' because of how hard it's hit. Tati's may not be harder but it's better :ras:

I don't think so.

she'll be dominant when she strings together a series of slam titles.

True, but if we look just a shot without other elements she has the most powerful forehand on the tour and at the same time most heavy, something similar to Davenport. . .

but it dosent matter how hard you can hit a ball if you arent quick enough to get there! or have good enough foot work to be on balance and in the right position to use it! and against someone who moves alot better (venus say!) she ends up looking lost as venus can get her off balance too often!

She doesn't hit heavy at all- it's almost completelty flat.

The only reason Venus and anybody can dominate her, is if they play it to her backhand. That happened in Wimby semi, cause her backhand was awful at Wimby. In Hardcourts her backhand is much better and she even goes around with her forehand on the backhand side. She crushed an offense player(petrova) and beat an ultradefensive(Jankovic), so bring on anyone at the Us open.

Her forehand is flat but due to her weight it is hit very flat and very powerful and heavy, but if she wants her forehand to be dominant as much as it is powerful she must make it consistant ane cut off UE!

LOL! Ivanovic's forehand being the best weapon in the women's game. If this were true, she'd be a slam winner. Get real!

Wow a girl who can beat Federer with her forehand, yet she has no slams.

Not with that second serve... that was what I was thinking..I think serena's much better cause she rarely makes double faults, and serena's 2nd is way better than venus':o

I'm a Venus fan, but everyone knows Serena's serve is the most dominant shot of this decade. When it's on, you can compare it to Federer's in the way she's able to save break points. However, it is not wise to compare anyone's anything to Federer's. He's just too good.

If she's got the most dominant forehand in tennis where's the fruit?

I really think everyone is putting their expectations too high about ana, lets how she does in this slam;)

Her forehand is nothing without a brain behind it!

Without a doubt. On top of that, Henin's backhand is a more dominant weapon than Ivanovic's forehand.

Who is it dominating exactly?

Thanx4nothin

1. Serena's first serve
2. Venus' first serve
3. Ana's forehand = Serena's forehand = Ju's backhand = Venus' backhand.

Ana's forehand is great when she has the time to set-up.
