Please don't draw Henin,Venus, Szavay or Azarenka in R1 :o Tszveti usually has terrible luck with Qualy placements :(

I know, why is that?? Someone told me both are valid, no? :shrug:Ajde (Аjде) is Serbian word, Aide is Bulgarian (Аиде). I've seen it written like that in cyrillic. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It is beginning to look like Tszveti has turned a corner. Very positive results this week and she should go into the US Open 1st round feeling much more confident than had she gotten there by direct entry.

Superb result. When it hapend 2-0 in the third set i stoped following the result. I was so nervous and my heart was pumping like wild. But now when i saw the result I am so mother f***ing happy. Now let's hope for a good MD place and not drawing the opponets which Lenavee said. Soon we will see.

wow Tsveti another magnificent fight today :D :woohoo:

fingers crossed for a good draw :yeah:

Aide is pronounced absolutely the same in both Serbian and Bulgarian and in Bulgarian the correct transcript should be also "ajde" but we're used to "aide", when typed in latin letters, don't know why :p

It's clear that Dubois will never be a top 100 player... Our Canadian hope rest on Dancevic and we might be positively surprise with him. Maybe a date with Roger on Tuesday night ?

There is also Wozniak and she is already in the main draw.

Thanks for the explanation.

Please don't talk about Wozniak. She has more "talent" than Dubois but absolutely no will and she's out of shape. She will probably screw her very winnable 1st round match...

Congrats Tsveti! It really seems that she's getting more confident now...she was down 0:2 in the 3rd set in the last match too, which really shows that she's getting mental tougher as well. I hope to see her back in top 100 very soon because N:132 doesnt suit her at all. But let's not forget something- it's still impressive that she's in the elitte because let's be honest- talent is not all. Tennis is one of the most expensive sports- if you dont have the enough financial support to provide you a good coach, team, good conditions for training and everything that can develop your talent- you are for nowhere! I guess you all would agree that it's way easier to have a huge and rich tennis federation behind your back (im not blaming the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, it's doing what it can, but it cannot compare to the American or Russian one, for example), sponsors and contracts and all you are focused on is your own game. And everything she has achieved for now is due to her own hard working and sacrifices. Which makes me admire her even more.
Good luck in the next match and please please please dont play Henin!
(it would be an interesting match with Venus but no thanx..some other time) :)

I've known from the moment the draw came out that she's destined to be Venus' first round opponent. I looked that the qualifying draw and thought, who could possibly make Venus' draw look worse on paper. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hopefully Not. Im pretty sure Venus would kill Tszveti if they met right now on Arthur Ashe. :o

Who are you to make so stupid comments? Come on, she only lost a match and she won two challengs, reached 1 final of an other challenger and won against Sugiyama and took a set to Petrova... she is only 21, she has a lot of time to become top 100. I can't wait to see her in top 100 to bump your post :) :wavey:

Very winnable first round  Medina Garrigues is in the top 30. She is maybe not top shape like Jankovic or Dementieva, but she is not out of shape!

You really don't know what you are talking about :help:

Sugiyama played the worst match of her life that day and Tszveti is hardly some scrub without some credentials.
