Indonesian Tennis Association or known as Pelti came up with another move to hold selection for 4 invited players so that 2 of them could get WC qual. The players: Ayu Fani, Lavinia Tananta, Jessy Rompies, Vivien Silfany.

The selection will be held on Aug. 25 and 26 at the national camp privately owned by Mrs Martina Widjaja - big boss of Pelti...:o:rolleyes:

Ayu has refused to join this selection since her manager/coach/sponsor prohibited her to do so.

Isn't it stupid for Ayu not to join this since she can win this one easily. :o
Whatever. Her scheduling has been :weirdo: this season.

Go Jessy :bounce:

Thanks for the news. :)

Perhaps Ayu's also confident that she'll get in on her own merit anyway. :o

What's happening with the MD WC?

MD WC is almost definitely going to be Sandy's.

stupid Ayu, that girl needs to lower down her pride a bit, until she becomes the number 1 INA player

When Pelti didn't invite her, she will complaint, now they consider her, she refused  I couldn't care more about her now. Regardless of how talented she is, if she has this kind of attitude, she won't move up anywhere in the ranking, Top 200 the most

Hopefully Jessy and Vivien will win the WCs :bounce:

Adji, now Ayu has refused the invitation, will they find another person or just select 2 from those 3? I hope they will consider Grace.

I doubt that BMW/Pelti will add another person as Ayu's substitute. Though BMW has been eyeing and persuading and being sweet to Grace in the last 2.5 years, I do not think BMW will invite Grace. It will be unfair to Lutfi and Beatrice, I reckon.

Starting August 27, 2007 - Since Grace was invited, she will join tennis camp organized by Jakarta's Pelti (region) for the whole week. You know Grace is not Jakarta player, she is playing for North Sumatra. The coaches will be Mr Frank Van Fraayenhoven and Mr Paul Van Der Knaap. Both are from the Netherlands Tennis Association. Ayu is for sure participating in this camp also, since she is playing for Jakarta's Pelti on national level. This coaching clinic is exclusively for Jakarta players.

Based on the info from Yayuk Basuki, Romana withdrew from Bali - though her green card application process is already approved, she still waits for the adjustment letter, therefore she can't leave the US...

One day selection after all - Saturday at the castle of Indonesian tennis diva - Martina Widjajatilova:

1st match: Vivien Silfany Tony def. Lavinia Tananta 46 63 62:kiss:

2nd match: Vivien Silfany Tony def. Jessy Rompies 62 75:kiss:

3rd match: Lavinia Tananta def. Jessy Rompies 26 62 60:eek::kiss:

Thus, Vivien and Vivin are eligible for WC qualie. IMO, Vivien and Vivin have the advantage than Jessy/Eci since they have been on the tour. Vivien just returned from Manila being in the team of Pertamina oil company together with Lutfiana and Mia Sacca. Vivin - we all know that she toured in the US plus Universiade in Bangkok.

For sure, teenager like Jessy with her all court game tends to develop in gradual process, I think. Mental toughness seemed to be Jessy's problem today.:(
