I want her to get out of New Haven healthy, and to play much better than against Golovin, where Sveta was broken 9 of her last 10 service games.

Sveta was broken to start the 2nd. I think Lena's going to win. But Sveta has a great draw next week, and she's playing better than that sloppy mess vs Golovin.
She will build confidence with some wins next week.

Congrats! Finally she won a title :bounce:

"When I saw the she was calling for the physio I was like, 'Please no, not now,'" Kuznetsova said. "I really feel sorry for her. The US Open is coming and it's an important tournament and she's playing very well. Hopefully she can recover."

Kuznetsova's last three wins this week ended in retirements, with Francesca Schiavone stopping on a left ankle injury after dropping the first set, 6-2, in the quarterfinals; Elena Dementieva stopping due to nausea while trailing 3-0 third set in the semis; and finally Szavay. It was nicknamed the Kuznetsova Curse.

"It's really strange, but the only thing I can say is I was winning those matches!" Kuznetsova added. "Today was the closest one, but I was getting my game back and then she retired. I cannot change it. The only thing I can do is take it."

"It was really, really good and I played really well; but that's why it's even more disappointing, especially after I won the first set," added a dejected Szavay. "But Svetlana is a very nice girl - she always makes me smile. She told me she was sorry about it, that she was not happy she won in this way. She's really nice."

"She was playing some unbelievable games," Kuznetsova said. "But you can't ask from your body to play eight matches in eight days. Tennis isn't soft now. We're hitting the ball pretty hard - you all saw how hard she hits it. She was crying, and I felt bad so I said something to make her laugh, but I don't remember it!"

She is so nice :hearts:
