All the quarterfinals are pretty much interesting.
Broady vs. Cunningham: Last year I would of picked Amanda based on her junior results but Naomi has overtaken her this year. Prediction: Broady in 2 tough sets
Rae vs. Cornish: Well, Steph hasn't done anything of merit this year which is unfortunate because she seems to be a real talent. Jocelyn, however, has had a good year losing only to good players in challengers and getting a couple decent results in juniors. Prediction: Rae in 2 mild sets
Watson vs. Sargeant: Heather has been the one to watch this week beating her 1992 rival, Tara Moore. She followed that up with a convincing win over Vickers. I don't know much about Amy except that my cousin used to beat her all the time when she played. Unfortunately my cousin has all but given up tennis and Amy seems to be doing quite well for herself. Prediction: Watson in 3 sets
Nebojanko vs. Marks: While this may not be the most interesting of the quarterfinal matches I do think it will be the closest. After not doing anything of note this year, Anastasia made a challenger second round in Wrexham, losing to eventual champion Tara Iyer. She continued that form with a win over her good friend and really one of our most pleasant surprises this year in Jade Windley. Natasha has had some good wins in challengers but I don't really know too much about her. Prediction: Nebojanko in 3 tough sets

The 14s draw is out now. Jess is the top seed and I really don't see anyone challenging her. Amy Askew, Joanna Henderson, and Sian Bayliss are all in the bottom half. They are the only three I see challenging Jess. I suppose it will be a Ren/Bayliss final with Jess winning pretty easily!

The under 18's is full of shocks.
Still hope Joce pulls through.
Jess should walk to the under 14 title. Shame Laura Robson didn't play that would have made it interesting.
Natasha Marks (Notts) bt Anastasia Nebojanko (Middx) 6-3 6-2

No shocks today. Heather's still rolling. My pick is still Jocelyn although her match against Naomi should be a corker. In the 14s there were no upsets but I did notice that Elisha Gabb isn't seeded and is in the top half with Jess. She beat Lucy Brown 60 61 so seems to be in good form!

Girls Singles 2nd rd :
(1) Jessica Ren (Yorks) bt Emma Devine (Sco) 6-0 6-1
The 14s seem to be going to form even with Gabb unseeded she is still one of the best 14 year olds in the country. Still would be shocked if Jess doesn't win. Sian is a bit of an enigma this year as she is continuing to do well in LTA events but really struggling in Tennis Europe events. I expect her to beat Amy but lose pretty easily to Jess in the final. I still wish Laura would of played. I think she would of been the favourite.
The 18s semifinal results were disappointing for me as I would of loved either Jocelyn or Heather to win the whole thing. Overall I think they have more potential than either Naomi or Natasha!
