I am still afraid. Her mental will surely worsen after this embarrassing loss.
Allez Marion, prove me wrong and give us some hope.

It seems Marion has a bye to the second round, which will be against Milagros Sequera or a qualifier. Assuming she wins she could play Dementieva next.

She really needs to win the first match. A loss against Sequera would be terribly shameful.
And she won't be able to use the same excuse as in Stanford, if she still feels tired, she should withdraw directly.
Let's hope a victorious run ! :D

Allez Marion.

Good luck to Marion. Sequera shouldn't be too hard if she faces her, and I have no idea which qualifier she may face so I'll reserve judgement on that. :wavey:

Apparently Marion feels healthy now. She should be able to close this match in two sets, but something tells me it's going to be a big fight with herself. I will feel more reassured once she finally has a win after Wimbledon.
I will try to follow this match live, if it's not too late.

Good luck Marion :D, you need this win.

I expected the loss in Stanford but this is the real test to see how she will go post Wimbledon now that she has had a few weeks to recover.

Marion :clap2: I'm feeling pretty quietly confident about her next match, but nothing's for sure. But she still has a 2-0 H2H over Dementieva this year and beat Kerber pretty handily in Birmingham.

Go Marion! :yeah:

Well done Marion ! :yeah: This win was very important, I hope she feels without any pressure now just like before. Having been through a tough first match will surely help her much and give her more confidence. She has been pretty impressive with her first serve, hitting 8 aces, the last one was on MP . Her level was only up-and-down during the match, each time she won two games in a row she lost three after. The games at the beginning of the second set were close, but Marion managed to get them. It's not her best match but she can be relieved :).

I like her draw because the difficult is increasing each round, it's well balanced. No doubt that she can beat Dementieva again. I like her chances. Allez Marion !

Terrible match for her. Her serving was very very bad.
And of course people in GM have now gone off Marion calling her a fluke. Figures.

You did your best Marion, that is all any fan can ask for. Go rest up now and get prepared for your next tournament. Then rock some ass. :D

I can't say I am not disappointed by this loss ... especially when Marion destroyed her 61 60 the last time. She really needs more time to confirm her good Wimbledon. As someone said, she is the girl to beat now and her opponents are not surprised anymore by the quality of her tennis.

Marion needs to work on her serve, the 2nd above all.

Good luck for all your tournaments Marion ! :wavey:

Grass and hard courts are two different surfaces Antoine, and Dementieva may have a terribe slice service but she's not a moron, after loosing to Marion three times in a row she would have gone into this match knowing exactly what she had to do...so I'm not dissapointed.
