Monica Seles has wasted little time hanging around SW19 since her quarter-final defeat. Instead she has sought solace with one of her many A-list pals, apparently hot-footing it round to Madonna's London home for a cup of tea and a natter.
And while Seles may no longer be the force she once was in women's tennis, she cannot be touched when it comes to star contacts.
The 28-year-old was also said to be one of the guests at the celebrity wedding of the year of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.
Gossip or what do u think?

wow I don't know if it's true or not, but that would be cool!

I also read that she was at Sir Paul's wedding. Not sure about the Madonna one though!

Can u plz post a link?
Jul 8th, 2002, 04:44 AM
Well, Madonna can be SURE she's on the A-list now, because she gets to hang with Monica.

hmm i'm not sure about that one. Madonna is not really a known tennis fan. I've never heard of her going to see Monica at a tournamnent or anything. But maybe she is a friend of Monica's, who knows. They don't really seem alike though...
Jul 8th, 2002, 08:36 PM
Well, Monica is the biggest star on WTA!!!
Jul 8th, 2002, 08:38 PM
I'm not sure if I like Monica hanging out with Madonna.;)
Jul 8th, 2002, 08:43 PM
well don't people remember the days when she wanted to be like madonna?
Jul 8th, 2002, 08:48 PM
I thought she outgrew those days.;)
Jul 8th, 2002, 08:54 PM
I thought so too but maybe because monica admired her, they met those days and became and stayed friends!
Jul 8th, 2002, 09:15 PM
Wow monica hanging out with the best:D
Jul 9th, 2002, 12:30 AM
I'm not sure I like the idea of Monica hanging out with Madonna either.
Let's hope Moni doesn't start speaking with a faux english accent like the annoying one.:o ;)

What in the world is a natter?
Jul 9th, 2002, 01:24 AM
I agree Consistency! I never understood the hoopla over Madonna and now she is trying to act British with that fake accent.
Jul 9th, 2002, 01:39 AM
John MCenroe said Chris Evert went to see Madonnas play during Wimbledon which is getting bad reviews.
Jul 9th, 2002, 01:50 AM
LOL Anton, I thought from your flag that you could fill us in on what a "natter" is. Maybe a biscuit or breakfast treat? :)
SelesFan- :wavey: ITA. My opinion on Madonna is that she is a shrewd business woman and somewhat talented entertainer, but does put on a phoney act with the accent to give herself "class".
 Monica has too much true class for her.
Jul 9th, 2002, 01:56 AM
I'm not really British. I just had that on there for Wimbledon.
Jul 9th, 2002, 01:57 AM
I'm not surprised about the bad reviews.:o

love em both...nice to hear :)

oh this is a bit off topic but I saw Snatch DVD the other night and Madonna's song Lucky Star is in it.
Jul 9th, 2002, 09:49 AM
Monica is a very big fan of Madonna (it's in her book) and I also saw her singing along with "Music'' when it was played after het match at the Chase Championships...so this rumor could be true!
Jul 9th, 2002, 10:37 AM
Maybe it's the same person who saw Monica visit Madonna that saw Steffi running/practising in London .(She was in Las Vegas at the time!) Monica probably headed home as soon as she was out of the tournament. Don't they all do that?

Thanks for the info, Nander.
And here I am thinking it's something to eat.:o
