Very very very VERY nice accomplishment! They are still too young to stop at 30 Slams though. I expect them to hit 40+ no problems!

counting the doubles twice is retarded. (debatably?)

So this is a time where it's okay to group them together as one player? I get confused because so often we have to remember that they are two players.

Because they're sisters. We're not analyzing them or anything. It's just awesome that ONE family, holds more GS titles than any other NATION in the WORLD! Men OR Women.:worship:

I would love to see them playing doubles consistently again, and i would also love to see them play mixed, and heck why not go for a different partner lol, they would never go without one another in the slams even though serena has doen so in the tournie on WTA Tour. I can imagine Jusitne and Serena teaming up...a match made in heaven...they could pair with Sveta, the get on well...

Not really b/c if either one of the sisters partnered with another person,
They would have 6 as well as the partner Not named Williams. Retarded? Uhhh...

wow:worship:

but, of course, they actually do not have 12 doubles titles. So that is a little bit vague. They have 24 Slams in actual fact, because those 6 doubles are shared.

i would disagree bout the number of titles but they are still the dominante force since they came on the tour!

They may be sisters, but they're still individuals. And while I may be one of the few people that likes one (Venus) but not the other, we shouldn't group them together any more than we would with Evert and Navratilova. Who, by the way, would have way more.

Is indeed a huge number, but still there are some individual names that have won more grand slams (24) that the Williams sisters together have eg the names Court (62 GS won), King (39), Navratilova (59) as individuals. And that says a lot.

So no matter how AMAZING you want the number to sound, even together they are far from the best performers in the game.

Not really she won Wimbledon playing her best tennis and playing excelent since her 3rd match.
I had her as a top 3 contender to win this event and this is her best surface, so this win did not catched me by surprise. Pretty much after watching her beating Kuznetsova i pretty much knew that it was going to take a miracle for someone to beat her in the semis or the final.
