Thats mad!!! :fiery:

I know the Wimbledon organisers wants to finish in time but she is just a junior and I am affraid she will get injured today or tomorrow ( if she wins now she will play tomorrow at least 2 or even maybe 3 matches again!!!)

They must finish on Sunday. Wimbledon organizers would rather have little girls die on their courts from heart failure than break with tradition.

(Bitter about no rest for Gasquet/Djokovic)

Update : SHE IS SCHEDULED TO PLAY 7TH MATCH TODAY!!!!!

That really is crazy. I can almost understand them wanting to get the main singles tournaments out of the way by Sunday, although I too feel sorry for Gasquet and Djokovic, but the doubles matches and especially the Junior matches, hell, there is no harm having some of those finish on Monday at all, it has happened many times before. Expecting juniors to play that much is unexacceptable and really does deserve criticism.

maybe she should withdraw from doubles?

And she won them all. :tape:

Tomorrow another tough day! Singles final, doubles semifinals and perhaps doubles final too.

Oh and she has a WC to an ITF 100k Biella next week. :tape:

She should not be permitted to play Biella next week under any circumstances. If someone has to rip up her plane tickets to Italy or even chain her to her bed then that is what should be done. No way should she pick up a racket for at least four or five days after Sunday.

And anyway she will be out of breath next week... Would be perfect if she could exchange this WC into another big ITF preferably on American HCs... but it ain't gonna happen. :(

It's her dad who will decide whether she plays or not and I'm afraid we'll see her on Italian courts next week :o

Hasn't just hurt Ula, but a lot of the juniors. As TBE says ridiculous scheduling has happened to juniors for a long time. None of the "stars" would ever accept such terms. The organisers need to start all the other events earlier in the championships or cancel them all together.

I remember that girls' doubles was canceled at US Open few years ago and organisers decided to do that on Wednesday or Thursday, while at Wimbledon doubles started on Friday :o

Glad they moved the doubles semi. I hope now Ula plays her singles final before her doubles match(es). And wins it ofcourse. If she can win both titles that would be even better.

You are probably right. I was just a bit concerned they might want her to play her doubles semi first since the doubles is still a behind schedule whereas the singles is now on Schedule. But that was almost certainly just me being silly and worrying unnecessarily.

Wimbledon changed their mind after two rounds :o

They showed Lykina/Pivovarova won two matches, now we found out it was actually Hofmanova and Roma :o

Best tournement in the world....Not for me.

Yeah rain was big problem but they even more mess of it because of their series of wrong choices.I mean they started the junior doubles on Friday and players playing back to back on doubles and mixed :help: For example look how much tennis Santoro played and potentially has to play SF & Final tomorrow.

Yeah some of these players will play next week but thats just too much,if you cant make them finish on Monday, cancel the doubles on juniors then.

i was waiting for Pivovarova/Lykina to come out on court and when they didnt i had to go check draw ....... and it still said Pivovarova/Lykina won the 1r by walkover and r2 as well.

Ula is on Court 2 tomorrow all day.
12:00 singles final
then after over 45's
Doubles SF and if they win that, rest for an hour or so
then doubles final.

so finish 7pm or so.

When I was copying/pasting results on Juniors when Hofmanova/Roma in SF I was like " "

Draw still has Lykina/Pivovarova as winner in the R2,but if you click on completed matches of Roma, you can see them as a walkover winner in R1 and then their wins in R2 & QF.

So strange I couldn't believe it when I watched Curtis & Fitzpatrick play them last night. The draw still has the wrong results

Seems like the rain has washed all sense out of the organisers. Or they have just been so arrogant to assume that everything will sort itself out, as long as we make sure the stars don't complain. All the participants in "lesser" events have been worse than bad this year
