Will Serena really be 7th? I'm kind of disappointed! I thought becuse she didn't play at all last year she would go up a few more spots! Well regardless, Serena and Venus should be in the top 5! Does anyone know what Serena will be in the Race Rankings?

serena won the AO and moved all the way from 81 to 14,venus only manages 13 spots, must be quite tight in the top 20.

You have to remember that Venus has 0 pts.
from the USO & AO. That, besides that she only
played two matches between 06' Wimbledon and the
1st rd of Memphis 07' is why her jump wasn't bigger.

However, now, Venus has only 25 pts. to
defend until february of 08'.

Venus if she can stay healthy and keep form,
she really could stand a chance of making it
back to #1 in the world. And I really do believe
before all is said and done for Venus, she'll hit
her highest ranking atleast one more time before
her career is done.

I think Venus will be 16 or 17.

Bartoli will be ranked #11.

we are gettin way ahead of ourselves by saying that she could be number 1 in the not so distant future....

Well, I really do believe that.

Yet as I said, "if" she can maintain her form & health. Health for Venus is always the major issue. So, I'm praying she can stay healty because then everything else will fall into place.

I just went to see what Venus' ranking was and I was shocked and disappointed to see her at 17! I really hope that rises to top 5 before the US Open (is that possible?).

For Marion, again disappointed she isn't in top 10, but a few more big tournaments and she'll be there no problem.
