Before Roland Garros, the Belgian girls were in. If people were asked to name favourites for the upcoming Grand Slams, it was not only Venus, Serena and Jen, but also Kim and Justine.
Now that these two Slams are over, noone talks about them anymore. Of course that has to do with their bad results, especially Kim's, and with the fact that Justine doesn't seem to be able to compete with the absolute top even when she seems to be returning to her old form. (her semi-final loss against Venus was her worst result against Venus and only the 2nd time in about 7 matches that she wasn't able to take a set from Venus)
Will they be able to step it up again next year or even this year at the US Open? Were their spring-victories over Venus and Serena only one time flukes? I want to see some European Slam-favourites next to the many American girls!

What do you think: is this only a slump or will Justine and Kim not reach that very absolute top after all? Are they really 'only' subtop, I mean, can they up their games so that they can compete (this means: win a decent percentage of matches against the top-girls) with the big names?

It's only a slump.

Kim is injured... so she is not 100%
