Best. Match. Ever. (Bartoli)

That was truly inspiring today. Henin didn't play badly, she was actually blown right off the court. Absolutely amazing play from Bartoli.

She didn't even get nervous near the finish line and the only match I've seen that rivals this one for the excitement and all round amazingness is the Ivanisevic final a few years back.

I just can't believe I saw that level of play from Marion Bartoli!

The final? Well if she plays like she did today she'd probably beat Venus, but it seems unlikely she will ever produce that kind of a match again. Would be nice if she could get somewhere close though...

I agree. I looked at the stats assuming that Justine was below 50% on the first serve percentage, she was at 63.
That is the best percentage she's had in the later rounds of Wimbledon ever.

Justine's first serve % was high, but she missed so many forehands. When she's tired, the forehand is the first to go.

I feel like she lost this, but Bartoli played very well and did what was necessary to win and didn't choke. Kudos to her.
