It's so weird how it's the only Slam she doesn't have. One would think that would be the one she'd most likely win.

only if there is alot of player injuries and Justine Serena Venus and pretty much every top 15 player withdraws but her then she'll win easily won't even drop a set i'm sure of it

I'm really sorry I have to say this but i don't think she can win the French Open let alone another grand slam again. There are just too many good players that are better than her such as Henin & the Williams Sisters.

She still has a slight chance
but she must be fit with no injuries!

No chance, there will always be someone better than her left in the draw and Martina doesn't have that many FO left in her (maybe 2-3), that means Justine will always be around, and so will Sveta, Ana, Serena, etc.

I dunno... First of all, she needs to be fit and healthy again. Second of all, Justine will always be there... Martina also needs to be consistent throughout the whole tournament...

Most people are just saying no without giving reasons why.

It is funny she didn't win the French isn't it? You'd think the surface would be ideal for her. Is it possible? Yes. If she commits 100% to developing her fitness (which she stubbornly refuses), and starts working with world class coaches. She's already got great hands and is a phenomenal tactician.

But realistically, she's 27, how many if any, have won it that late? Her opponents have leaped over her several times by now. Her window of opportunity is gone. No.

i always thought with her speed and absorbing power she would win french open but just can't. i think she might if she gets an EASY draw(slight chance)

She couldn't win it in her prime, no way she'll win it now. Which is sad cos I like Hingis.

No, she won't win another slam, let alone the french open.

Most people are just saying no without giving reasons why.
There are so many reasons:

1) Henin
2) She's only won 1 title on clay since June 2000
3) There are just way too many people who can beat her: Henin, Venus and Serena, Jankovic, Mauresmo, Kuznetsova, Ivanovic, Petrova, Schnyder, Hantuchova, Safarova...
4) She hasn't reached the final at Roland Garros since 1999!!
5) She couldn't win RG in her prime. How could she do it now?
etc. etc.

Some delusional fans are voting "yes". I'd like to hear their reasons!

I enjoy Martina Hingis's game but I honestly dont see her ever winning another slam. Right now she has Serena, Henin, Venus, Vaidisova, Ivanovic, Jankovic, Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Mauresmo, as obstacles. Of those women only Kuznetsova is she probably reasonably confident in playing, just based on some success in matches with her. She is atleast as old as any of those, except Mauresmo. It just isnt going to happen.

Not a chance.
It's been EIGHT years since Martina won her last Slam. It's been TEN years since she won a Slam outside of Australia. Nowadays she can't beat Sugiyama, Razzano, Hantuchova, Schnyder, Granville, let alone Top-10 players.

If she wants to win Slams, she needs to stop playing like crap and work on her game.
