It's between Martina and Serena (as they're both 3 time champions there). Justine plays pretty well there too.

Right now, Serena. It would be a tough discussion if Hingis was playing the way she was in the late 90's.

It's between Martina and Serena. Martina made six straight finals, wiinning three of them in a row, while Serena has won every final she's been to there. Some of her career-defining wins have come in Australia, but Martina has had some stellar matches there too. I don't know. Right now I'd go with Serena based on the fact that she's won her titles more recently.

Martina used to be the best on this surface. But now... Serena is the dominant player on it. And Hingis vs. Serena match can't happen in 2008 on Rebound Ace because the surface changed.

Definitely Serena. I'm a Hingis fan, but seriously, guys, she's getting too much votes lol!

Serena. She could hit thru Hingis even on Rebound Ace for sure.

Serena has never beaten Martina on rebound ace

Of course, I think she would've if they played this year at AO.

Martina hands down. Martina and Serena have both won thrice, but Martina also has been runner-up thrice, and also has won Syndey thrice. Serena has never been runner-up, and never won Sydney.

Btw, stupid list. Putting players lik Schnyder, Vaidisova and Kuznetsova, who have never even made the final of the Australian Open, over players like Kim, who has been runer-up, and made numnerous quarters/semi's.

Has to be a CURRENT player to make the list, that's fair.

If Patty was there, Vee DEFINITELY should have made the list  2003 Finalist 2001 SF

and my vote's for Serena.

Also, Serena has 2 dubs titles @ AO 2001/3. I'm sure Hingis has some too, but I doubt any of them have been more recent than Serena's.

I wish I could vote for both Chucky and Serena. :(

I always thought that Hingis took advantage of everyone else at the Aussie...

...she was mentally in the middle of the season while everyone else was just starting the season in January...

...after all they all seemed to catch up to Hingis by the time the French rolled around but then after the lull of the post US Open period; there was Chucky again.

Hingis also won Sydney (Rebound Ace), Doha and Dubai (Rebound Ace too, I believe). So she has a slight edge.
