I noticed Serena and Venus both showed alittle more emotion in their match today than in the past.Serena was pumping herself up during the match, which I noticed she didnt do before.Venus seemed very down after she lost, opposite to the way she was at Roland Garros. If they keep playing the type tennis theyve been playing, they will meet alot more in finals.I personally think that they will break up their practicing together. This is my opinion.Congrats to both for making the final!

Personally, I think a relationship where friends/relatives are afraid to compete with each other is a weak, insecure one. If they are getting more eager to face each other it just means they have realized if one of them loses they are still sisters.

It all depends on what kind of people they are, i know i would hate loosing to my lil bro, i love him loads but i find it humilating no matter what i say to people if i kept on losing to him, know thats me, venus might feel differently about losing to her younger sister but if she feels the same wy i do and keeps loosing, their replationship must get affected.

I think they're just more used to the fact that sister can mean opponent sometimes. They know that they have a job to do on the court and are getting used to trying to win against their sister.

But the same thought did cross my mind Zvonareva.

I feel that it's harder for Venus to accept defeat against Serena because Venus is older. In a way, the big sister is "supposed" to be better and it's hard to see your little sister, someone who looked up to you, beating you and being better you.

That's why when Venus beats Serena, she holds her and conforts her. She's the big sister, the one who takes care of her little sister and now her little sister is kicking her butt. I just think that the pressure is on Venus.

All is not lost, LOL. Venus WILL recover from her loss yesterday and even defeat Serena a few times down the road (Serena will also periodically return the favor). They're champions and highly competitive on the court. Will their relationship as sisters be adversely affected by their wins and losses on the court?--absolutely not. Unlike many siblings, Venus and Serena truly love each other. Tennis won't get in the way of that.

Venus will never win a grandslam again. She might win one but that's it. You might be laughing right now but you would have done the same if I told a couple of years ago that Hingis and Davenport won't win slams. Venus is over, Serena has destroyed her mentally and she will never be the same.

I think that Venus will win another grand slam, selesrules. She will be back. Remember that many were wondering if Serena woud be a one-slam wonder before this year.

Venus will rise again! Mark those words... ;)

Selesrules I have to disagree. Venus will win another grand slam. She is too good a champion. So she had a setback. She will rise again to the occasion.

I think these back to back loss to her little sister in GS finals should hurt Venus's confidence and mental toughness. That's for sure.

Once a player lose that kind of confidence or cockiness, it'd be very hard to recover it. Lindsay and the sisters hurt Martina's confidence,.... and then Martina's still suffering.

But I think Venus and Martina are exceptional players,.. so they can bounce back sooner or later.

Anyway, Serena is sooooo strong now,... I'm wondering who can stop her especially in US open this year. ( Maybe well-recovered Martina would have some chance. :D )
