two matches in slams and two wins for justine over serena. one on the slowest surface, the other on the fastest surface. justine seems to be better in every category except the serve. theres no disputing it now, henin is the best female player in the game.

hopefully younger players will emulate justines all court game.

congrats justine.

im still not convinced....for one...she nearly choked away her 5-1 lead and was lucky that serena made an error

This match proves nothing. Henin played well, however Serena was clearly not 100%. If she was she would've easily won this match. Did you see how nervous Henin was in the final set? Serena definitely beat herself and it was due in part to her higly noticeable injury.

Obviously. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional.

I will just add(at great personal risk :hehehe: ) that Justine has been the undisputed number 1 since last year, only relenquishing her title for the brief period of time early this year when she placed greater priority on her marriage than her WTA ranking.

Stupid Belgian. :(

 What was she thinking???

I love it when a thread like this comes up as all the Serena fans rush on to it! Simple as Henin is the greatest player in the world she plays nearly every tournament unlike some players who just turn up for the slams! And thoroughly deserves to be Number 1 and win Wimbledon this year! (and this coming from a Sharapova fan!) lol

I'm not convinced because Serena played a horrible match at Roland Garros and she couldn't even hit a backhand here so.. If Justine legitimatley beats Serena I will say it. Haven't seen it yet though.

What's that supposed to mean

No question Justine is number one. She is playing closer to her potential than Serena is. Serena now has to answer if she want to regain the number one spot. She answered Capriati, will she answer Justine? Serena has taken short cuts and surprisingly got away with them. They no longer will work with Justine, so she now must resort to hard work. This means playing more. Working harder, getting more fit, and getting mentally tougher. Will she do this........knowing Serena I believe she will.
