A bit late for that, no? Now the bandwagon jumpers will have it easy. ;)

I was rooting for Venus. She's so classy and I know that she loves Wimbledon.

Serena was just too tough.

Well another way for Venus fan, try to put Serena down...

You meant Wimbledon FINAL or Wimbledon TOURNAMENT????

I don't think this is putting Serena down at all. Some of us have a favorite. Venus happens to be mine.

I was rooting for Serena, simply because she is the better player right now and deserved to win

It's quite obivous that all Williams fans have a Venus preference... And they would all want a three-peat.. No need to rub on Serena fans faces..

Venus!

Now I am sad; though nicely sad, if there is such a thing.

i honestly wanted Venus to spank Serena's ass, lol, after losing to her twice this year ;) i have always supported Venus first, then Serena, and no need to jump the bandwagon here :p

It's pretty significant that there aren't many 'No Preference' votes. It just goes to show that people are starting to choose sides. The difference is that you will probably not hear a fan of either sister make a disparaging comment about the other sister. Yet, there will be a sense of rivalry. It's like the best of both worlds - no bashing but intense competition. The tennis world will have to reconcile itself with this new scenario because 1) the Sisters grow on people with their grace and class, and 2) they are bound to meet in many more Grand Slam and other finals ahead.

I knew Serena would win in the end. It was so obvious when I watched Venus's previous matches. Well done to both players, though ! :)

I don't have a favourite sister so I really didn't mind which one won.

I'm for Venus. always have been, always will be.

The good thing about Venus losing today, is that it might be lighting a competitive fire under her towards Serena. The more she loses to Rena, the more aggressive she will become. IMO that spells trouble for Serena at the Open.

Where are the options for the over 35s invitation event? I think Virginia Wade is looking in a rich vein of form at the mo.

Venus, simply cos serena won the last granslam and i was cheering for her at the french, but venus hasn't won a granslam in a long time and wanted her to win, bit upset at serena at the mo.
Saying that though i was really upset at venus for spanking serenas butt at the us open.

I was rooting for Venus... but I certainly rooted for Serena at the French Open... so I was fair... ;)
