View Full Version : Another Williams steals headlines...

Unbelievable... Hardly a mention of the sisters accomplishment on ESPN.com's homepage and just tuned into Sportscenter and a complete omission of this feat during their intro! Instead...it's Ted Williams death that is garnering all the attention this morning in the media here in the states. Too bad...

After first ten minutes the hosts are about to go to commercial so they show what they're coming back with "after the break"... and still it's some story about Barry Bonds and a manager getting fired. Ten minutes into their show and an historic happening at Wimbledon hasn't even been mentioned!

Tennis is getting dissed...not to mention the girls accomplishments! Shame on ESPN

Ted Williams death is a big story. Not worried about ESPJen cause they always diss the Williams Girls.

Oh, for God's sake. Historic is over. It's been done. Do you expect magazine covers everytime they meet in finals? It isn't a chapter in history.

Wimbledon is the CROWN JEWEL of the Grand Slams. Just one more magazine cover and then it will be routine ;)

Ted Williams is a very very very famous American baseball player who died yesterday at 83. He is probably one of the 5 most famous baseball players of all time. It is a GIANT story here.

ESPN is notoriously bad with so called lesser sports and even worse with women's sports. If Williams hadn't died they would have featured it more prominently
