Schedule looks very good. I have singled out a number of matches but can't decide which ones I want to watch in particular. Because they only have one women's match on Centre Court and Court 1, Hingis and Serena are stuck on Court 2.

uh oh hingis and serena in the graveyard of the champions!!! wonder if the legend of court 2 will take them too... more worried about hingis as she's had less match practice!

What are the biggest courts, usually broadcasted??

As skysport here in Italy has something like 6 courts always broadcasted...apart from CC, C1 and C2 which are the biggest one??

Exactly my thoughts. And Espn is showing matches live. So With Roddick starting out first. I wonder if they will have time to show Serena's match? Uggghhh Roddick and his awful game always threatens coverage of the players I like.

What matches will everyone be watching?

Weather permitting of course :p i hope to watch

Hingis vs Cavaday, although i will probably watch it on the BBC :p
Serena vs Dominguez Lino
Bartoli vs Pennetta, since the Serena match will be a blowout
Henin vs Cravero, if its still on
Jankovic vs Keothavong
ALG vs Ozegovic, should be fun  and i like Nika
Chakvetadze - Kerber, if its still on

Plus the 2 TBA matches if i can although, considering the weather its very unlikely :tape:

How about you?

How about you?

Hingis vs. Cavaday
Serena vs. Dominguez Lino, although you are right...I expect it to be painful.
Henin vs. Cravero
Molik-Rodionova probably
Daniela-Nastya Pav... if it makes it to one of the show courts

Overall, not a lot of interesting matches really, but it's just the 1st round. I have to finish a paper, so I won't be too pissed if I miss some of it tomorrow, as there is nothing I'm dying to see.

I am curious to see Hingis vs. Cavaday though... to see if Hingis is rusty. Never seen Cavaday, but I guess she has no chance?

She gave Sugiyama a bit of a match last year at the same round. She has a good FH, solid BH, solid serve. Doesn't move all that well. I think she could trouble Hingis some if she's rusty but i don't see her getting a set, maybe making a set close, like 6-4 6-2 or something. The match i actually want to see most now is ALG - Ozegovic. Iv only seen Nika a bit in Zagreb in a challenger but she has a good game for grass. Big serve, nice hard flat groundies. Considering ALG's form and her record at Wimbledon, should be interesting at least :tape:

Lourdes Dominguez Lino vs. (7) Serena Williams. Oh, god, I remember watching this twit at the US Open a couple of years ago, and she was sooooo far behind the baseline she was practically in the stands. 6/0,6/0 for williams tomorrow.

Hey quick question, for those of you who have had Wimbledon live, how fast is the streaming? It's supposed to be live but does it like get all choppy with the buffering and all that because I tried watching the free Sharapova-Dementieva match from last year and omg I would get like 20 seconds, and then it'd pause for buffering.

It worked pretty well last year. I don't know why it's buffering for you. I was watching streams of some matches from last year a couple of days ago without any problems.

That may be an issue with your connection. I didn't have any problem streaming Sharapova/Dementieva, and I didn't have any problems with streaming last year.

I'd imagine Sun and Nakamura are out there for the benefit of the Asian broadcasters. That's why Sania Mirza and Paradorn Srichaphan are always assigned to one of the five TV-accessible courts at the US Open.

Idiot that I am, I just stupidly subscribed to the WImbledon Live Service desperate to catch some tennis while at work this week since there is nothing to do.
I see Hingis is on court at Midday so I dont delay, I am now fully signed up!!

BUT I have now just read that the LIVE service is not available to people in FRANCE and SPAIN, and I am in Madrid. It is my own fault, but is there some way around this little dilemma that anyone can help with??

If you paid for it, and it doesn't work for any reason, just e-mail them with an explanation and ask for a refund.
I ordered it last year without knowing it's not available for Macs, :( . I e-mailed them right away and explained that it wasn't working, and why, and they refunded my money right away.
