what a great flashback! All her fans miss those days :) Although Wimbledon has been her worst-in-results Grand Slam, I really enjoy watching her play on grass. I hope she'll do well and her body is fit and injury-free.
good luck Martina!

Not only has it been 10 years since Martina won here, it has been 30 years since the great Virginia Wade was the last Briton to win a singles title here

It's about time for another Slam and i can't think of a better one for her to win than Wimbledon. It's a long shot, but if it all clicks together, her game i actually believe is well suited for grass.

Those offensive lobs, volleys, passing shots and backhands down the line. I remember Wimbledon 98 when she pushed one of her opponents (Macarova i believe) into the stands to retrieve one of her backhand cross courts slow roll angles... just incredible. Haven't seen an angle like that since.

Hehehe I remember that at least Novotna won it the next year she so badly wanted it she was kidding around with Hingis' trophy it was funny and it was so nice because their was no animosity at all, they played a lot of doubles and so they just joked and joked and joked, I miss that kind of positive energy on the court, now its like the two on opposite sides of the court would hit eachother with the racquet if they could during the game hahaha with all the evil stares and what not. Anyway, I really do believe that Wimbledon was such a funny thing for Martina, she won it but she also has the worst results there, unlike RG where she didn't win it YET but she has really good results.

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was on holiday and watched the final on a tiny wee TV and I was mad as hell at the time because Martina won (simply because she beat Jana, who was one of my faves) but I came round.
