Will there be any play during the first week? :bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:

No, seriously: What are you expecting for the first couple of days? Just showers or rain all day long?

TheBoiledEgg

The forecast has been pretty bad all of this week and it has been pretty good. Sunny with the odd showers. Hopefully it carries on like that.

I think Monday looks like a mixture of sunshine and showers but looks cold. Tuesday looks like a wet one.

Saying that Eastbourne has meant to have loads of rain and the only trouble they have had was a delayed start on monday, and some delayes with doubles.

Well they were wrong for alot of Eastbourne. Everyday the commentators were like oh tomorrow looks really bad and when you would turn on it would be really sunny  If they get the weather we are having now in Dublin though :help:

Weather forecast was like that at first for the qualifying week as well, and I've been there and it's been very good, so I am not that worried. Yet. I just hope they are a bit faster with resuming play :p 2 minutes of rain and it takes them 45 minutes to get started again. Ridiculous.

The weather in London at the moment is horrible, truly horrible. Wind, rain and chilly - it's making us all cranky  .

A world-class sporting event in 2007 should have state-of the art retracable roofs on Centre AND No. 1 courts.

I want to check out the AELTC tomorrow to see practice (if possible), but the weather forecast for tomorrow is the worst of all days :haha: :o But I guess I can go and then decide to do something else if it's really bad :tape:

Yay, I found a somewhat encouraging forecast: http://www.accuweather.com/world-forecast.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&locCode=EUR|UK|UK124|London&metric=1 :p

But it's probably just as unreliable as the others so ...

I will make the trip in any case, I mean, why shouldn't I get a bit lucky for once? :ras:

forecast looks like its not gonna improve :fiery:
that low pressure thats stuck over Europe its not gonna move, so the High Pressure system that should have brought nice dry weather has decided to go south and thats gonna bring in more and more Atlantic Systems to UK :help:

Plus its not only that...... that low pressure thats stuck over Europe keeps going around and around and not moving anywhere, and bringing the same rain over and over.

last time this happened around Wimbledon was back in 1997........ when there was hardly any play at all in week 1,

I hope they wrong about monday and tuesday because rain in first two slam days where you have 32WTA and 32 ATP matches is always worst thing. In all other cases is not that bad, but in day1 and day2 (1st round matches) even 2 hours of rain is enough for shedule big problems.

Which part are you in ?

I think it's not been too bad myself in the last few weeks.

I reckon there will be play - any showers we've been getting during the day have been pretty short lived and there's been plenty of sunshine in between.

It tends to clear up as the day goes on.

No, Americans believe they can contort and tangle the English language in any manner they so wish. They replace S with Z, they refuse to spell Colour correctly, and apparently spell happiness with a Y. Not that most Americans think they (A) Speak American or (b) Invented English anyway so it really doesn't matter.

I'm not wasting my time (nor am I capitalizing "happiness" :)). Just because some people misspell words doesn't mean those words are generally spelled that way in the U.S.
