I'm pretty sure it's just precautionary. It was a good week for you, Nadia. Now rest up and be ready for Wimbledon, you got a favorable draw.

Congrats on reaching the final, Amelie.

 :tape: Then why didn't she retire against Golovin in AI or Peschke in FO to name a couple?

Anyway, there's no need for Nadia to risk not participating in Wimbledon. Congrats Amelie, always good to see another Henin-Mauresmo matchup. :p

If i was a top player... now waaaaay on Gods green earth im playing a warm up tournament the week preceeding a grand slam!!!
A loss to the wrong person can shatter your confidence, a deep run or a win can/may tire you out!
Oh no.. im practicing ONLY the week before.

It seems that petrova loves to retire when playing warm up events for grandslams. yet, she's always miraculously fit in time for the slams. today's another example. she is a joke, she can't handsle losing so has to respond like a 5 year old and retire. her attitude is appalling

This is all easy for you to say since this isn't something you make a living from...

She retires because she doesn't want to risk injury before a Slam (and she doesn't want to miss Wimbledon again) after she played a 3 hour match yesterday. at "miraculously fit". But then it's of no consequence explaining it to you, since you are a total retard anyway.

how many other top 20 players have retired in warm up events as many times as petrova over the past few years?

Nadia had not played a grass match since her Wimbledon QF in 2005.
That's why she played Eastbourne.
She should have retired during the Bammer match. To keep going until she has to withdraw from Wimbledon would be a bad decision.

I thought Petrova hurt herself trying a reflex volley on Mauresmo's hard hit up the middle shot.

Congrats on reaching the final, Amelie!

If her wrist was causing a bit of a problem, it's probably wise for Nadia to withdraw especially with Wimbledon coming up next week.

Poor Nadia, but I think she should take a long break to recover or retire her career. She had so many medical breaks the last months...

Nadia def. needs a break after Wimbledon. She looks unfit and unhappy. Time to rejuvenate, recover, and relax. She should come back when she feels at peace, fit, and happier than she is now. Playing with no motivation is a waste of time.

ok are you retarded? my point is i dont enjoy it i find it a complete joke that she is allowed to call the trainer every match if she isn't fit or injured why start the match the same at the french open someone else could have been in that semi and completed the match which would have been better!

You are totally stupid, aren't you? She got injured in Paris as the match progressed. And she also apparently got injured here. Someone else could have been in the semi? :weirdo: So what should she have done? Retire yesterday?
