What is Bali Tournament like for the spectators?

Weather?
Grounds?
Is it easy enough to get to the hotel courts/venue from inside Nusa Dua? From outside?
Good places to stay convenient to the venue?
Ticket pricing?
Food?
Events for the fans?
What if somebody does not speak the local language?

If somebody was considering attending, would you recommend it? What do you like best

What is Bali Tournament like for the spectators?
As for me, it is fun to be there coz you meet other fans from different part of the world, too...

Weather? Hot indeed, temps range from mid 80s to lower 90s...until late afternoon then it can be breezy in the evening and temps slightly drop...

Grounds? there are some stalls for snacks, food, drinks and you can sit in the dining area...also stalls of the tourney's souvenirs such as T-shirts, jackets, bags, towels etc...for sure stalls of Wilson, Adidas, Sony Ericsson etc...

Is it easy enough to get to the hotel courts/venue from inside Nusa Dua?
Yes, during day time from certain hotels, there are free-rides. But if you like to walk, it is certainly okay...it is quite nice stroll in the evening...as long as you stay nearby the venue...

From outside? It depends where you stay...From Kuta area, it takes at least an hour by car or cab...From Jimbaran area, it takes 30 minutes or so...

Good places to stay convenient to the venue?
Club Mediteranie Bali, Lot N-6 Nusa Dua, Phone +62 361 771520 but it is far from the venue, must take a cab...
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jl. Nusa Dua, Phone +62 361 771234 the venue
Melia Bali, Lot N-1 Nusa Dua, PO Box 1048, Phone +62 361 771510 not too far
Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Lot N-4 Nusa Dua PO Box 217, Phone +62 361 771210 a bit far
Putri Bali Hotel, Lot 3-3 Nusa Dua PO Box 1, Phone +62 361 771020 not too far (old hotel)
Sheraton Nusa Indah Hotel, Jl. Nusa Dua, Phone +62 361 771906 a bit far
Sheraton Lagoon Hotel, Jl. Nusa Dua, Phone +62 361 771327 a bit far

Ticket pricing? for qual on Sunday, it is free usually. Monday thru Thursday, if this year stay the same, prices range from approximately 7.5 to 17 dollars then Friday to final day, from 9 to 24 dollars. Ticket booths open at 1 pm daily, match begin at 3 pm so if ur lucky u may still see players practice on the court

Food? in the venue, there are food booths available. Out of the venue, nearby you may go to restaurants like Kura Kura, Bali Millenium and a bit far south from the venue, more restos - on Jalan Pantai Mengiat after you pass Putri Bali Hotel and then turn right you will get on Jalan Pantai Mengiat...various choices...check out: http://mapsbali.com/areas/nusadua.php

Events for the fans? yes, there are...lucky draw with prizes from the sponsors, meet and greet with certain players (in the past with Davenport, Widjaja, Kuznetsova, Schnyder for example)

What if somebody does not speak the local language? no need to worry. Bali is a tourist place, most of the people speak decent English...

If somebody was considering attending, would you recommend it? What do you like best

Yes, indeed. It is fun to meet other fans from different places. It is well-organized event with good hospitality. The resort atmosphere makes me relax...everyone seems friendly...after the whole week, you feel like in a different world...
