it's never too early to start the thread.

she lost in the first round last year, so let's hope for a melbourne re-make!

GL Lucie :yeah:

May 22nd, 2007, 11:41 PM
Lucy is gonna rock Paris, mark my words!

Sure she needs a good draw, but from what I have seen in Berlin, I`m very confident about her chances. Good luck! :)

May 24th, 2007, 04:34 PM
I think her time will come after the clay season, anyway I'm hoping for a great run in RG. Lucie go for it!!

Great draw -- she has the game to beat Momo again, and she just beat Chakvetadze in straights a few weeks back. I'm hoping Lucie makes another run.

May 27th, 2007, 07:25 AM
I love Lucie's draw. Lucie has such a great chance to take out Amelie and make a run. Chakvetadse will likely be her RD16 opponent, a match that Lucie can win. Chakvetadse hasn't found her legs on clay so far. Then probably Patty in the QF's, that will be a fun match to watch.

Lucie is second on Court 5 today.

Good luck Lucie!

May 30th, 2007, 12:28 PM
lucie won 64 63 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

May 30th, 2007, 12:59 PM
Top stuff as usual Lucie. :worship:

May 30th, 2007, 01:38 PM
I don't know whether it was a top stuff, she faced too many bp's for my liking and needs to raise her game for the next round(s). But it was first match after the injury break so I guess she will improve.

Fair point, but she got through, in the end that's all that matters.

May 30th, 2007, 02:19 PM
Solid win for Lucie. From the stats it looks like she was still a bit rusty. But a win is a win in the end. Hope she can raise her game and win her next match. Good luck, Lucie. :)

May 31st, 2007, 10:48 AM
she's allowed matches like that in the first round. ;)

pratt should be no problem, then mauresmo. bring it on.

May 31st, 2007, 10:56 AM
pity, her match is not televised again

May 31st, 2007, 01:03 PM
Well Lucie won 6-0, 6-1, now for Mauresmo. She’s playing well enough to win, and Mauresmo always seems to find a way to choke at the French Open.

Perhaps the biggest match of Lucie’s young career. Cmon Lucie, you can do this! :yeah:

May 31st, 2007, 03:25 PM
Watching Mauresmo vs. Dechy and really Lucka can take down both of her possible opponents. It's just a matter of low number of UE.

May 31st, 2007, 03:45 PM
Lucie !! Go for another Qtr final or further! She can do it. This season has been going well for Lucie :)

May 31st, 2007, 07:31 PM
Allez Lucka! :rocker2:

Jun 1st, 2007, 02:10 AM

Jun 1st, 2007, 06:01 AM
Lucie :D

Good luck against Amelie. She's in with a great shot.

Jun 1st, 2007, 10:45 PM
Today is the day, probably one of the most exiting matches in your career so far. Good luck, dear Lucie! :)

Jun 2nd, 2007, 01:37 AM
lucie has a great chane of winning today... another quarterfinal for lucie? good luck

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:31 PM
Lucie won 63 76(3)! Amazing!!! :worship:

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:35 PM
Brilliant performance.

That point to take her to 4-2 in the tiebreak was just :worship:

Keep it up Lucie!

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:36 PM
That was an impressive perfomance by Lucie. First I thought she wouldn't really get into this match, but she came back in style. Probably not the best match she played, but fantastic how she held her nerves in the end. Enjoy the rest of the tournament, dear Lucie. :)

For Amelie I feely sorry, but she surely is one of the contenders for the Wimbledon title (if she gets fit).

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:44 PM
Well done lucie
who will she play next

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:47 PM
brilliant match, congrats Lucie :woohoo:

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:50 PM
She'll play Chakvetadze, definitely winable match.

Great match by Lucie, only returns especially from backhand side need a little improvement. I am so happy for her.

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:53 PM
Great job, Lucie. A fine performance, indeed. :)

Jun 2nd, 2007, 12:58 PM
Well done Lucie:bounce: :bounce:
Fantastic Win!!!

Jun 2nd, 2007, 01:00 PM
She'll play Chakvetadze, definitely winable match.

She's in the QF already. I can't believe that Anna can beat her in this poor form, she's lucky to get THAT far here.

Pojdme Lucka!

She's only in 4th round yet. No jinx here. ;)

Jun 3rd, 2007, 03:08 AM
I was holding my breath all throughout the second set!! Lucie definately could have closed it out earlier. Come on Lucie, you are way better than Anna when your on, go out there & play your best!

Jun 3rd, 2007, 04:44 AM
Awesome!:bounce: well done!:woohoo:
Chakvetadze is definitely a winnable matchup. Good luck:D

Jun 3rd, 2007, 08:12 AM
Wow, that point for 4-2 in the TB was just :worship: A contender for point of the year! Well done :worship:

Jun 3rd, 2007, 08:12 AM
Confident are we?

I concede that if Lucie is "on", she maybe the favorite on clay.
But as you all know, her form can often be "off" and she might be due for a letdown after big win against Momo.

anyways, good luck to both girls. :)

Jun 3rd, 2007, 08:20 AM
Since Lucie has won over Anna this clay season there is no reason we shouldnt feel a little confident, however i am not over confident because as we know anna is an up and coming talent

Jun 3rd, 2007, 03:17 PM
Lucie lost the first set 4-6 against Anna. :(

Fight Lucie.

Jun 3rd, 2007, 03:21 PM

So she lost against Chakvetadze. From the scoreline it looks like a weird match. It's a pity she couldn't close out the match after such a second set. Anyway you can't take wins against Top15 players for granted. And she's still having a very good year. Good luck for the rest of the season, dear Lucie! :)

Jun 3rd, 2007, 04:11 PM
Wish I could have been watching it. So many wasted chances.

Jun 3rd, 2007, 04:12 PM
Thoroughly disappointing set that.

Jun 3rd, 2007, 04:19 PM
Simply gutted. :(

Jun 3rd, 2007, 06:41 PM
Very disappointing loss, according to the stats Anna hit 20 out of 22 first serves in the third set, that is very impressive. Despite this Lucie managed to break her in the sixth game and came close in the second game but it wasn't enough since her own serve completely collapsed. She is still not tough enough to be a real contender for the slams. But I belive it will change soon. Bring on the grass!

Jun 3rd, 2007, 10:18 PM
Simply gutted. :(

You should feel bad. You jinxed her by saying she's through to quarterfinals. :p

Jun 4th, 2007, 08:02 AM
Lucie.. oh well, its already a breakthrough to reach the 4th rnd of RG ! Think her UE cost her the third set. Fight hard to remaining season :)
