Titles in 2007

Hi guys

Sorry if this has been done before but I havent seen any threads like it!
I was wondering how many titles do you think Maria can win this year? I know a lot depends on how well she is playing after her injury, so we will be able to predict her results better after Istanbul... but Im bored :p

I think if she isnt playing that well she can still at least win Birmingham, a summer hardcourt title (San Diego, LA, Toronto etc.), and then maybe another title in the indoor season (Moscow, Zurich, Linz etc)

If she comes back playing really well however, I think she could win another Slam and hopefully surpass her record of 5 titles in a year!

Between 3 and 6, starting with Birmingham hopefully. I'd love to see her winning Wimbledon and defending her US Open title more than anything this year though. How realistic her chances are though are a different story...

but i dont see her winning till she plays like she did in the end part of 06... possibly 3 titles playing like she is right now, hopefully she'll find her great form again and be the champion of 06 again!

Playing like she is right now? Unfortunately, that would be zero titles. She was able to fight through some difficult matches (that really should not have been that difficult) to reach the Final of the Australian Open. But other than that, it's been a pretty disappointing year so far.

But other than that, it's been a pretty disappointing year so far.but it was still this year that she fought her way to the final, it wasnt that long ago. she can find that form agiain. think if she can get a confidence boost beating another big name or even winning a small tournament it will get her back on track. she'll win 3 or 4 titles this year.
