Looks like she's religating herself to the 'B' girls tour now.

Kaia Kanepi is out of Budapest, so Maria moved straight into the Main Draw.

She is playing like a 'B' girl. She needs to win some of those tournaments and build confidence.

You can do it, Maria! Just try your hardest in every match. :)

Playing the "B Girl" Tournaments may be just what Maria needs. She needs to get some results and more importantly some confidence. Maria has had some success on clay in the past, even though she says she doesn't like clay. Masha is a good clay court player. She needs to believe in herself. Hopefully things will turn around for Maria starting in Portugal

House - If Masha is now a direct in at Budapest, that tournament starts April 23rd (next week), then she would follow at Estoril the week after on April 30th. Then she usually plays Berlin which is May 7th and Rome starting May 14th. If she does play all these she will have some good match play going into the French Open.

If Masha wants to avoid having to play qualifier rounds to make the main draw Team Kirilenko is going to have to pick tournaments with 64 slot draws or go with lower tier tournaments. Isn't it better for her to go to Estoril and get a direct in rather than going to Warsaw and maybe having to qualify to get into the main draw? The down side of Estoril is the ranking points are meager as is the prize money.

But she won't gain many points in Estoril, it is better to play with harder oppontents and even lose than losing to some "B" girls which can only destroy her confidence

yeah, but on the other hand, if she keeps losing day in and day out to the top players, then she will definitely lose her confidence here. Might as well start off with some easier opponents and build up from there.

I hope she has a good clay season

Masha needs another title fast. If its a Tier VI that'll be fine for me. Warsaw could be another 1st round exit, and she's had enough of those so far.

Sad thing is,we never here anything from Team Kirilenko. Just hope she is ok and raring to go

:)
