It's like exams. It's normal and even good to be nervous, when it stays in certain limits. That stress can help ya if you use it properly.

I had a lot of trouble with that when I was younger but now I got to know my stress and it's usually better.

It's natural.

I got a tournament on wednesday ay 10am. I'm not nervous. If you're nervous it affects you game. You gotta physc your opponent out in the warm up, hit a sudden winner when you rally.

"It's just a game and the game isn't me." - Monica Seles.

Just focus on hitting the ball and moving your feet. Keep talking to yourself in between points to stay focused on the match. Try and enjoy yourself. You do love playing tennis, don't you? Just have fun competing out there.

i find i either hit very conservetavley in a match which is not my natural game i like to go on the attack.Or else i just make LOTS of unforced errors and DOUBLE FAULTS anyone got good adviceHey, I used to have the same problem because my game style is power and going for winners but a lot of the times I end up make so many unforced errors that I started developing a tenative game style where I try to be consistent and even that doesn't really work because I'll end up make errors from being too tenative or my apponent will attrack my powder puff balls. My suggestions is that still play ur game but smartly. Don't just whack at every single ball and try to blast ur apponent off the court. Take advantage of those short balls and go for winners. On return of serves, if ur having an off day, just try to put the ball into the court to set urself up for a good point instead of giving the game away to ur apponent. You know what ur capable of especially when in practice u can hit winners left and right, during important and decisive point, step it up, u kno what u can do in practice, carry that to a real match, and if that doesn't work because u made an error, don't back down and become tenative, eventually it will come together. Good luck.
