Serena DID get a code violation at 5-0 30-30.
However, I can't fully understand on my tape what the reason for it was.

Since the German commentator said it was because of coaching, I assumed that was the case. If it's not, I apologize.

Maybe someone can review it and clear things up.
I wouldn't have brought this up again as it's completely irrelevant noew but I don't like to be wrongly called a liar. :)

 Wasn't it because of racquet abuse :confused:

The racquet broke I think? That's almost a guaranteed warning.

Again, no racquet smashing took place at 5-0 30-30.

It was for racquet abuse...no big deal either way

For the third time: You don't get a code violation for racquet abuse when the racquet abuse took place 5 minutes earlier.
And I know it's no big deal and have said so already.

I can't remember when, but she swore quit loudly - "look at the FUCKING ball", or something like that. It was very late in that first set, but i'm not sure it was at that point.

I certainly don't think it was for coaching, she was barely looking at her camp during the match, least of all that first set.

When you're Serena yeah, I've seen other player bust racquets and the umpire turns a blind eye

Okay that is the one. So it was for audible obscenity.

For the record, Serena did NOT get a warning for racquet abuse. Else there would have been a point penalty at the second warning.

tennisjunky trying so hard to look stupid. Only needs one post to succeed.

Oh and the topic may be closed now, as my question has been answered.

People hurl insults for no reason all the time (aka ioni), so it's probably best if you just ignore them GoDominque!

Well well ... in one shot you could see Richard first looking at the chair umpire to check what she's doing, and then saying something to Serena. :tape:

At least that's my interpretation. :p

I'd say it was because of her cursing.

Well that's nice to know that Serena does curse and she doesn't get fined for it.

I knew that before but now I have evidence even the fools on here can't ignore.
Now when Sharapova is heard cursing at a tournament and doesn't get fined certain posters can put away a certain card because it just passed it's expiration date.
