Poor Aravane! How can she build up any confidence with the draws she gets?

With her game right now, she won't beat a lot of girls anyway!

she should buy a brain first and get over her awful Dad
I don't like her. She feels like she's always persecuted

She sure has got some shitty draws this year... 1r in Paris vs Vaidisova, 1r in Dubai vs Janković, 1r in Doha vs Schnyder, now Venus in AI... She's not in the best from ATM though.

Combination of poor form & unlucky draws.

But yeah she has to take care of her game plan and had solve her problems on family first.

She needs to get in better form first, but she HAS had some TERRIBLE draws

I've never actually seen her play, but I've heard that she hits harder than Sprem  Maybe if she played smarter tennis, draws wouldn't matter so much.

All this wouldn't happen if she stepped down to challenger level which would probably be the best move right now.

Not easy for sure, but Venus isn't exactly playing super-consistent now...

the draws might be tough but shes getting to play the best of the best week in week out. even if she doesnt beat them im sure shes learning from each match, and it will help her for when she draws these players in grand slams and bigger stages.

there are some positives to it..lets just hope she can make this a match and maybe take a set, venus wasnt in top form in her last tournament anyway

Yeah, but Venus almost beat the #2 player last week...unless she is SUPER stuck on crazy I'm sure she won't go down to Rezai.

Aravane is both unlucky and in lack of ocnfidence. She has to try to forget all her troubles and focus on her game

I think Brandy said it best, "You came real close, but everytime you built me up, you only let me down, and everybody knows, almost doesn't count".

i believe that she's playing consistently enough to beat an unlucky & kind of slumping Rezai.:help:

i believe. :bolt:

She is slumpig at the moment  - I hope she finds her form back soon - but not against Venus.
If Venus learned a bit from her match vs Sharapova it should be very clear for her...

Yes but she also had 4 winnable matches that she lost - Fedak (Sydney), Loit (AO), Molik (IW) and Bychkova (Miami).

IMO she'd lose to nearly everyone in this draw (except if she suddenly wakes up - which should happen sometime this year) so any R1 would have been considered a bad draw anyway
