bad scheduling :help:... they should have opened the night session, none of them is a marquee player and the large contingent of Brazilians and other fans left after Guga lost in straights...

Hi Wayitis,

Can you tell me whereabouts you were able to see the Tulyaganova and King matches please ?

I only watched the first set of the King-Sun match... it was interesting because this match came right after Guga-Sluiter and the contrasts were so evident that it was almost funny! Guga can barely move sideways and was trying to go for broke everytime he was pushed to the corners, usually with no success. His was a quick loss that lasted only 58 minutes. Sun-King on the other hand, had long rallies and after 20 minutes of playing time they were only tied at 2's... Tiantian is taller and slimmer, and much more powerful, but Vania can be a backboard and gets some nice angles from the backhand wing... Problem is that Vania's second serves are in the 70 to low 80 mph range, and Tiantian was feasting on them for some nice corner winners or sometimes silly unforced errors... Vania has much safer shots, Tiantian sometimes does not change the grip properly when hitting a forehand on the run and that shot sometimes sail very long... her backhand is solid though and I would assume she should win this match-up if she keeps the unforced errors down...

I saw the match was 7-6(4) and 4-4, Vania winning the first set... Is this when play stopped? I hope TianTian pulls it off!!! :scared:

Wayitis,

I wondered if you were watching this on tv somewhere or somehow getting all your info by just staring at the scoreboard like the majority of us ?

If you have pictures, could you tell me which station you are watching it on please ? Thanks
