Her name is Michelle Larcher de Brito, not Larcherde

She's portuguese, she is 14 years old, she plays in Bollitieri Academy and she will be the best portuguese player ever....

Kristina Brandi eat your heart out.

Like I said, she seems to be very talented.

Played one event on ITF-tour, 75k, and almost beat Kristina Brandi (6-4,2-6,7-5) - there she was 14 and some days, now she is 14 and 7 weeks or so....

She's a break up now in the second against Shaughnessy.

Maybe she will lead 5-2 or so and will lose the match...it was similar against Brandi ;)

Don't know how I can edit the thread name ..

Anyway to be 14 years old and such a heavy underdog and a wildcard at the biggest hard court (non GS) tournament and actually posing problems to seasoned player like Shaughnessy is really something..

 - but instead of winning the match, Shaughnessy lost the set

But against Brandi it was 4-6,6-2,5-2 or so ;) ;)

No, against Brandi, Michelle was down 4-0 in the third set and fought back to 4-4, then it was very close until the end.

Ah yeah, right....but I wonder all the time, because it would be a big surprise if Brandi fight back :tape: - nobody leads higher, but loses....

Shaughnessy is a good player, what would be her (Michelle) result against some Q-Players or a Prattasaurus or so  :tape:

She started to get tired/choke, she double faulted twice on route to losing her serve.. that game was crucial because she managed to save 3 break points .. and she kept on giving them back with double faults.

She's 14 and 2 months, she's still growing and she must be tired by now.

Can you imagine you with 14 years old playing a veteran like Shaughnessy for two hours? :tape:

I've watched her play in Estoril last year and I was shocked to see her play. She also was very ambitious in the press conference. And she seemed really nice! :)
