I know some player only check what the next match will be, are all players like this or are there some player that look at the draw all the way up?

A lot of time the coaches look all the way up and report back to the player.
I doubt the players are online waiting like us, but Lisa Raymond once said there are a few fanatics who do wait impatiently and fuss over the draws.

There are a few players who are interviewed after a win and they say they don't even know who they play tomorrow.
I choose NOT to believe those players. Nobody is that carefree (hear that VW/SW ?)

Hingis definitly looks up the draws.

Remember she stated, "how good I'm playing Nathalie Tauziat in the Wimbledon final 1998".
She only overlooked her semifinal match vs. Jana.

And there are many other e.g.-s.

I think that when they say that they dont know who theyre gonna play next...
simply means that they have no clue who'll win the match up between 2 unknown players...

If they check the draw...
they prolly look at biggest name of the draw..!!!!!
and the first person they play...

they dont go on memorising the whole draw..
i dont think that they remember
i.e. Lucie Safarova...Annabel Medina Garrigues...
etc...

i doubt it, cos if they do it can ruin their psychological preparation

When players are asked this, they always say they play one match at a time and don't worry about their NEXT next opponent until they've beaten their next one. But I think that they do obviously check it out to see what names are in their quarter.

I think the coaches would check it or the people around the players.

With good reason!

They don't need to be concerned about anyone
except for whom their opponent is for that given
rd they are at.

Maybe they don't look at the draw, but I doubt they actually prefer to play a top player early on, despite the fact that they can beat anyone and say they don't care.

I am sure everyone looks at draws..But they dont try to think too much about the next round until they win one round
