it would look like this

Dubai Tennis Championships (get this title you were close last year :D)

Pacific Life Open (defend your title!)

sony ericsson open (miami, hmm you are not gonna lose against kuzzy anymore thats for sure)

family circle cup (yay masha :D clay it is get some points. you dont have anything to defend)

warsaw ( same as yay etc.)

berlin (same as yay etc)

rome (same as yay etc.)

roland garros (come on you gotta advance to the semis :D)

dfs classic (but that one optional i'd rather want her to prepare for wimby)

wimbledon (win it for god's sake!)

fed cup semis (defend your country... haha ya i know the olympics)

acura classic (defend your title!)

rogers cup (yay no points to defend)

us open (uhm... DEFEND YOUR TITLE!!!)

luxembourg (no points to defend and a nice tourna. (full coverage by esp YES!))

kremlin cup (do well there for god's sake its your country :/ )

zurich open (i'll come see ya there again (maybe) :D)

linz (if she does well in lux, krem and the zurigo open she might as well just leave that one to petrova or ana)

madrid (just win this please and end the year as number one)

of course it has mostly got enough breaks. but its a little bit ambitious. if she reached the semis or further rounds at every event i mentioned she'd have like a gazillion points haha :D

I don't think she should play Warsaw, playing Charleston, Berlin, and Rome would probably be enough, and clay is a tough surface too. I also don't know if she should play Luxembourg.

Bit heavy in the clay area especially with the Fed Cup on ;)

If I planned Maria's schedule she'd play the AO then stay here playing at my tennis club for the rest of the year except for the Slams :p

 Dan

I think i would pretty much have the schedule she has now. Would think of exchanging Birmingham for Eastbourne but Maria seems to like the Birmingham event and it is a great tradition of hers.

Seriously tho...I would go for:

Hopman Cup, AO, Paris, Dubai, Indian Wells, Miami, FCC, Rome, RG, Birmingham, Wimbledon, San Diego, LA, Toronto, USO, Beijing, Moscow, Zurich, Linz, Madrid

+ Fed Cup ties

..minus LA or Linz depending on the situation at the time

OMG what sked!

That's so Nadia-ish! Maria won't be able to handle that kind of schedule.

I'd take away Berlin from that schedule. Warsaw could be done. But I'm just happy she decided to play FCC. And with Fed Cup possibly on clay, she'll already be playing relatively quite a lot on it. She could pick up points in Warsaw though.

I'd take away LA too and instead play the Rogers Cup. I don't like her history in LA and if she does well in San Diego like last year, a week off would do her good. She was tired by the time she met Dementieva in LA last year.

I dunno about Beijing. It isn't really a strong field yearly and if Russia reaches the Fed Cup final, and I hope Maria plays that, she should just cancel that altogether. I'd cancel Linz as well. Last year, her schedule had her playing 3 weeks straight from Moscow to Linz (Was it pre-planned that way? I forget). Oh please Lord, it's time she does well in Moscow. :tape: :o With Moscow and Zurich, she'll have enough rest for the Championships. She was tired again in Madrid. :o

Yes, I hope she considers playing Hopman, but only with Safin. :bounce: Even though Marat will probably lose it for the team. Oaf :o

Leave Dima and the other Russian guys to the other girls like Petrova (good team this year btw :yeah: ). Hopman isn't the strongest of fields anyway and Russia will probably win it every year now, so no point in Maria going if she's not partnered with their hottest guy. Oh god, I'm shameless.

And I do hope she reconsiders playing that Fed Cup semi after Wimbledon...:ras: Assuming they get into the semis, Russia will need Maria.

Yea Maria and Safin would be great......idiotic Tursunov can get stuffed IMO as can Davy:zzz:denko :p
Youhzny would be ok...but I would love Maria to play here. If not then GC would be heaps better than Hong Kong.

^^^ He lives in Perth. So, far from GC and where the Hopman Cup is but I would prefer her to play GC seeing I believe I am going there next year as well as Sydney and it would be great to catch Masha live for once seeing she will never come to Sydney :awww:

Oh ok so right where Hopman is. Anyway, yeah doubt Maria will go to Sydney as it is right before the AO. GC might be doable and I think I heard the HK exho might be cancelled (?)...that would give her more chances to play Australia early.

You're from Sydney?

well she was meant to play GC last year but pulled out (or the year before  )
I'm 1.5 hour drive from Sydney so I go for a day or to every year to the tennis ;)

If you wanna see Maria Katie you should just go to Melbourne  but the GC would be a nice tournament to go to, I can see it being an expensive trip tho...moreso than the AO.

Masha would love to play the Hopman Cup im sure
