I've never heard of her. She's isn't a big name player, yet. This is the biggest match of her career, so far.

It's funny how some burst out in their teens and others in their early twenties.

Thanks Goldenlox

"It's been a long week and all matches have been difficult for me," said Bardina, who posted her seventh straight win at the Domain Tennis Center Thursday. She has won three matches in qualifying and four in the tournament's main draw.
"I don't know how I've got through all these matches," she said..
"I'll have more confidence (for the Australian Open), but I'm also just a little bit tired. Too many matches."
Bardina took one hour, 21 minutes to overcome the unseeded Bammer, who ousted former World No. 1 Serena Williams in Wednesday's quarterfinals.
"It's my first big, big win," said Bardina, adding that winning the title "would be a great thing for me."
"Maybe, the first dream is to win a small tournament, and then the second is to win a big one. Now I'm in the final , maybe I can get my first dream."

Bardina lives in Moscow and is a proud Russian, but has drawn attention on tour for wearing an American stars-and-stripes visor. "I like this visor because it's very comfortable for me. It doesn't matter what's here," she said, pointing to the pattern … I just like this one."

She'll play top seed Chakvetadze.

Don't think she's really got a chance of winning, but it's possible.

Russia's Anna Chakvetadze, right, is attended to by a trainer after she broke down with stomach pains during her match against India's Sania Mirza, in the semi finals of the Hobart International tennis tournament , Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, in Hobart, Australia. Chakvetaze played on to win the match 6-4, 6-1. (AP Photo/Peter Mathew)

Yeah, I'm not saying she could never win it. She could beat Anna 6-0 6-0 but I think Anna has got a much better chance.

Plus, winning the match agaisnt Sania as comfortably as she did, to me looks like they weren't that serious.

I just found a litle bit strange that she is wearing that hat  I'm sure that a lot of folks in Russia didn't like it :)

Not really.
Lisa (Liza) is a nickname for Yelizaveta.

In fact, I doubt there is a nickname for Vasilisa in Russian. I can't remember the single one

She was attended to at 64, 50, and said that if the score were any different she would've retired.
