61 16 75... close in the end but well done kimmy

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:15 AM
Can you at least use capitals and put the score in the title? :tape:

Anyway, nice choke at the end, Na. Loved the smash on MP. :yeah::rolleyes:

Kim - you need to be more agressive.

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:15 AM

Well done Kim

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:17 AM
More proof that Na can hit with and out hit anyone out there...she really had chances to take this one. Great effort for her and it will give her a lot of confidence going into Australia.

Nice fight from Kim though, tough match.

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:17 AM

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:19 AM
my poor Na

 She played a great tournament and could upset many players in Australia. She has a few days off now, so she'll be extra prepared! :yeah:

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:21 AM
Kimmie:) Don't tire yourself out too much

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:21 AM

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:23 AM
kim will be very dangerous in the AO... the sydney final will be a great match

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:23 AM
marvellous effort from kim :yeah: she really had to fight hard against a player like na & it's good that she's getting a tough match under her belt going into the AO. couldn't ask for anything more from kim :D title is in her path now :)

na really showed that she could match the top players with her arsenal of weapons & shots. she is definitely a darkhorse for this AO & no doubt she'll be a threat to all. na

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:27 AM
Good luck in the final!!!! Na shows she has some game...good performance!

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:27 AM
I think Kim needs some more aggressive play (only 8 winners), and Na needs to be less aggressive, there are at least 3 over heads were out, and lots of unforced errors?(26 winners)

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:41 AM
:yeah: Kim! :yeah:

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:57 AM
when Na had a 4:3 to 4:4 break, I think Na would win ,but the chance wsa token off by kim, kim is just too experienced, hope Na can gain enough confidence and then have a breakthrough in AO

Jan 11th, 2007, 03:04 AM
bloody heck that was close!

congrats to Kimster for reaching the final: hopefully JJ awaits.

good tournament for Na - should give her tons of confidence for next week.

Jan 11th, 2007, 03:05 AM
Great match. I still wish Dementieva had been in Li's shoes, but Li put on a great performance. She is just so good.

I hope Li does well in Melbourne. She deserves that, as well.

Jan 11th, 2007, 03:06 AM
I'm worried about Kim if she really only hit 8 winners in this match and didn't play aggresively. I want her to win the Aussie, and I'm sure she'll need to play better than she did today, no disrespect to Li.

Jan 11th, 2007, 03:14 AM
Strange score...Kim winning 6-1 and then Li duplicating the score against Kim...but 7-5 for Kim shows her experience paid off. Nice run by Li though...good tournament by both gals!:D :worship:

Jan 11th, 2007, 07:22 AM
great fight from kim! she needs matches like these before aust open! :)

Kim :D

Jan 11th, 2007, 09:43 AM
I was impressed how Na Li played, at least 3rd set i was able to view.
Very good serves, amazing backhands. She had 25 winners (6 Kim) later in the 3rd and she had low number of UEs before last 2 games. Kim could only defend against her. Pity the last smash!
I was impressed by Kim too, when she talked to the linesman and the umpire. Never saw such a polite complain...

Jan 11th, 2007, 10:27 AM
Na,still great effort! ;)
Congrats Kim!

BTW,Na should learn how to smash,especially when MP's coming.:help:

Jan 11th, 2007, 12:29 PM
oh no..... Na Li i think played a great match... Kim must give all she can... and finally did it... so congratulation fpr Kim... and now i watch TV on Europsort :KIM CLIJSTERS VS NA LI:worship: :worship: :)

Jan 11th, 2007, 12:35 PM
congrats Kim :)

Jan 11th, 2007, 12:37 PM
Well, now I feel a little better about Li beating Lena.

WOW! What a match. What groundstrokes. Just amazing.
Na Li playes with so much power  I didn't know tha...
To bad that the last hit was :help:

Still, great match both of you! Congrats Kim :)

Now get prepared to go down, down under against JJ

Jan 11th, 2007, 12:46 PM

Jan 11th, 2007, 12:54 PM

Awesome tournament Na  Good luck in AO and kick some butt!

Congrats to Kim and her fans ! :bounce: :worship:

Good luck to her in the final ! :yeah:

Jan 11th, 2007, 01:19 PM
na you better learn how to smash before the AO:smash:

Jan 11th, 2007, 01:24 PM
Whew! Na Liis playing well, evidently. Glad Kimmy won.

Jan 11th, 2007, 01:57 PM
t'was a good match, but the smash on the mp:tape:
Na's in a really good form, then Kim is way to passive at times letting her opponents dictate the play too much even for her. I like how Na pushed Kim to the limits, she's got such great hands:)

Wish them both good luck in Melbourne:worship:

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:00 PM
Wow 3 sets  I'm glad that Kim won it :D She needed to be tested before AO but now I hope she'll win the final a bit easier :p

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:06 PM
Great try Na. You'll get her next time.

Jan 11th, 2007, 02:07 PM
I'm worried about Kim if she really only hit 8 winners in this match and didn't play aggresively. I want her to win the Aussie, and I'm sure she'll need to play better than she did today, no disrespect to Li.

it depends on your opponent how many winners you can hit. and actually clijsters was just defending out there yesterday. there was not much she could do with Li's monster strokes. The reason why Li lost was the lack of consitency in Na's game.

Jan 11th, 2007, 04:11 PM
Na Li needs to be more consistent, although i have to say she´s not far from being consistent enough. I was really impressed with her shots, power+precision, and those successive cross court forehands with all that angle were really nice, and Kim sure had reason to be dead at the end of the match...

Jan 11th, 2007, 04:24 PM
Yeah! Go Kim!

Final is gonna be tight! Two of the hottest players on the tour this year playing eachother!

Jan 11th, 2007, 06:49 PM
Kim  :D :yeah: :woohoo:

good luck in the final ;)

Jan 11th, 2007, 07:16 PM
Well done Kim,good luck in the final!
Good effort Na.

Jan 11th, 2007, 08:40 PM
Sounds like a great match! Well played both. I think Na Li is gonna go on a big tear sometime.. she needs to work on stuff but when she does... WOW

Jan 12th, 2007, 07:36 AM
Li Na - Impressive. Good luck to both in the Australian Open.
