i hope she will keep on playing cuz she is too good to retire yet! she nearly reached a tier 2 final in the fall! (luxembourg)

someone said that kveta will be in MD. I don't get this. what happens to the MDO players when the qualies started and a player withdraws from MD.

If someone pulls out now, MDO is getting in! That will be the case until the qualis are over. When they are over, then LL's are getting in :) I think so... :scratch: Actually I'm pretty sure :D

Once qualifying starts it's a LL.

Are you sure about that? Cuz I think it's not like that. When qualis are over, then it's LL's for sure... But as I said, I'm not 100 percent shure :shrug:

I think so, although I could be wrong because my information comes from the WTA rule book because the ITF rule book is only about the ITF Circuit.

Alternates based on the WTA Tour Ranking currently
used for alternate status.
ii. After the Qualifying begins and Player Commitment has
been met, openings in the Main Draw will be filled by
Lucky Losers except in the case of:
(a) A Late Entry by a Gold Exempt 1-13 player
(who enters before the start of the Main Draw);
(b) An Alternate Wild Card replacement; or
(c) The correction of an administrative error.

I guess she will not play. Maybe she wants to avoid the long flight to Australia. Last year she started out in Tokyo so this could be possible this year (due to injury), too.

Plus, she has no points to defend there in singles and in doubles.

yes, but at the time the entry list was done she was behind some player who are now lower ranked then her.

they use the current ranking just for the seeding
for the Entry-List they use the ranking from 8th December or so
