On page 15 of the current issue(January/February 2007) of Tennis Magazine in the baseline section there is an article entitled "Drawing Power" and at the end Tom Perrotta is credited for writing the article. I found this quite strange as I didn't know Tom Perrotta had any interest in Tennis. Might this be a prank by Chrissie Evert?

Perhaps it is promotion for the new movie based on Little Children.Since Little Children is about suburbia perhaps he felt this audience might recognize his name more. I just think it's a bit odd.

In a previous thread - in GenMes - about a Tennis article by Tom Perrotta, I commented that the author has the same name as the author of "Election" (which is a well-known novel, made into a film, which he wrote before "Little Children").

So he has written/published at least several tennis articles.

I think I tried to determine if it is the same person, or two people with the same name, but I can't remember what I found out.

(I think it has nothing to do with promoting the movie.)
