What a pathetic MD for a Tier I tournament.

At least Tokyo doesn't have major problems attracting the crowds which is why I guess it gets to keep its Tier I status.

Berlin, however, ... :tape: :tape: :tape:

I don't think the draw is as bad as most make it out to seem. There aren't as many big names, but at least ranking wise, it's evenly spaced out.

 At least Tokyo doesn't have major problems attracting the crowds which is why I guess it gets to keep its Tier I status.

Berlin, however, ... :tape: :tape: :tape:

You're absolutely right on that, it's really a shame to see what happened to our German tournaments.

Berlin always was the flagship amongst them all and now they seem unable to fill the seats there. Frankly speaking, I fear it will be held in Berlin for the last time this year. And that's why I'll got there for sure.

Always loved this tournament.

Enough about the draw, it's becoming redundant  You guys make it seem as if it's entirely the tournament's fault for how the player list turns out.

The people there work hard to put things together and draw the crowds in. If it can make decent ticket sales to justify its prize money allocations (which it does), then that's what really matters.

There are many reasons which are out of the tournament's control. It's scheduled at an inconvenient time, it's too far away from the proceeding European tournaments, or some players just don't like travelling to Japan.

The fact PPO remains a Tier I is testimony to its staff making the most of what they've got. That's something everyone here has conveniently overlooked :tape:
