Feud Between O'Donnell, Trump Escalates

Feud Between O'Donnell, Trump Escalates

NEW YORK - Things got even uglier Thursday in the bitter war of words between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell.

The Donald called the Los Angeles-based morning show "Good Day L.A." to sound off on O'Donnell's remarks about his near-firing of Miss USA Tara Conner.

"Maybe she wanted to put the crown back on Miss USA's head," the real-estate mogul said of the openly gay O'Donnell, who has four children with her partner, Kelli. "I think she's very attracted to Miss USA so she probably wanted to put the crown on her head herself."

Insult No. 2: "She is a very, very unattractive woman who really is a bully."

Insult No. 3: "Ultimately, Rosie is a loser, and ultimately ("The View") will fail because of Rosie. ... Barbara (Walters) made a mistake and let me tell you something, Barbara's a good friend of mine. She cannot stand Rosie O'Donnell."

It all started when O'Donnell, co-host of the ABC morning talk show "The View," blasted Trump on Wednesday's show.

She said Trump's news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a "moral compass" for the beauty queen.

"He inherited a lot of money," she said. "Wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie."'

Trump fired back later Wednesday in a TV interview, calling O'Donnell a "slob," among other insults. "I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I'll sue her because it would be fun.

An amused O'Donnell talked about Trump's comments with her co-hosts on Thursday's edition of "The View."

"Wasn't that a fun night of viewing? ... Look who's here today: Kelli. I was afraid to leave her home in case somebody with a comb-over came and stole her from me," she said.

In an entry posted Wednesday night on her Web site, O'Donnell duplicated an excerpt on Trump's rocky financial history from his biography on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, which is written by users. She wrote: "i will let you know if the donald sues me/or if kelli leaves me for one of his pals/don't u find him charming."

Walters, who created the "The View," and executive producer Bill Geddie are standing by O'Donnell - and Trump.

"Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of `The View' for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace," they said Wednesday in a statement.

Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, said Tuesday at a news conference that he would allow Conner to keep her title if she settled down and entered alcohol rehab.

Conner tearfully admitted drinking as a minor at New York nightclubs. She turned 21 a day before the news conference.

Rosie knew who she was messing with when she opened her mouth. In most cases, women can not win those type of arguments. Women have different boundaries than men. A man's ego will not let a women get the best of him in public even if he has to get down and dirty. Back in the day, any girl with an ounce of sense would never play the dozen against the guys. We just sat around and laughed like hell so they wouldn't mess with us.:lol::lol:

Rosie need to learn to keep her mouth shut sometimes. As much as I can't stand Trump, he was not messing with Rosie so anything he says, she brought on herself.

I have to agree with you. Trump is has a big ego and is very disrespectful of women(remember how he attacked Martha Stewart). However, in this case Rosie deserved the scrutiny and brought the whole thing on herself.

I think her and Trump have fueded before and it's well known that Rosie has upset many people in the past with her outbursts. If she dishes it out then she has to take it.

Donald Trump is a childish, immature, and ridiculous prig, and anyone who sides with him is no different in my book. Mind you , I personally believe that Rosie's got a big mouth, but that combover's tirade shouldn't be acceptable, no matter how much you hate Rosie. He says she looks like hell, as if he himself looks like some paradise :help: I don't understand why he keeps saying Rosie is liar when his whole life has been documented. So he did not deal with personal bankruptcy, but his businesses did--- what's the bloody difference? Rosie definitely got under his skin  Anyway, any man who goes after a woman in that manner is worse than dog shit as far as I am concerned :fiery:

For the record I don't side with either but Rosie intiated the feud. Let's be real: TRUMP has be impersonated to death and most comedians have made fun of his facial features and combover for years. So I don't think that was his problem necessarily, it was the way she attacked him.

Donald has really said some off the wall and offensive things but he has a right to speak his mind just like Rosie. When he attacked Martha Stewart for no reason I thought he was wrong, but my mother always told me don't say anything negative about someone and expect them to not return the favor.

Rosie should use better judgement in the future but I imagine that will never be the case.

It's a big publicity stunt by two of the biggest publicity loving
hounds in New York City.

It's New York Post dream material.

The View needs Rosie to do this kind of nonsense for ratings.
Drunk actors on tv, ranting about Bush, her silly poems, her
annoying voice, her attacks on Trump, who just happens to
be on another network. Without it, what do they have?
Barbara Walters?

Donald is one annoying and ego driven guy. I don't like his
tv show or his hair. He's a bad husband, but, by all accounts,
a very good father.

But, in this case, the beauty queen signed a contract with
the corporation that puts on the pageant, and all the sponsors,
and yes, it has a clause about her behavior in there. Legally,
he could have dumped her because she broke the contract.

They pay her a salary, take care of her housing, etc., because
of the pageant corporate ties. She should have been fired.

Donald gave her a 2nd chance. Knowing we'll watch the tv
pageant more now to see if she becomes Paris Hilton. She's
the most famous beauty queen since Vanessa Williams.

Rosie of course missed this obvious point, and chose to attack
Trump. His hair, yes, please do attack that.

If given a choice between Donald and Rosie, I'd choose Donald.

Yes. Albeit not as funny as a person who continuously posts in a thread about two people they supposedly could care less about. Merry Christmas. :)

I think you missed the mark by a mile.

I could care less, but I don't. They are news and it's a subject that we are discussing. I didn't say I couldn't care less about them, I said I think they are the same. Two media whores with big mouths. But, if you think that's funny then by all means, knock yourself out. And I mean that literally  . Merry Christmas. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbZ0VEp8ixM

Rosie outed clay aiken (as if we didnt already know) and then she accused Kelly of being homophobic...which was way out of line...how the hell did she draw that conclusion about Kelly?

Damn, Rosie is a piece of work. It was very irresponsible of her to accuse Kelly of homophobia just because she didn't want Clay Aiken's hands on her mouth. What he did to Kelly was disrespectful, especially since it's her show.

Why should Rosie keep her mouth shut? She has every right to say whatever she wants, as do we all. We may not agree with what others may say, it may be disrespectful, hateful, etc, but the prerogative to speak our minds remains.

Donald's tirade only proves how foolish he is. He can't fight back with any facts or credibility so he resorts to high school tactics and attacks Rosie's looks, how mature. The problem is that Rosie is well aware of her apperance and I think she's learned to deal. She's not like any of his wives, shallow, vapid, vain women who he used and spat out. And note to Donald when almost every skit show laughs at you for looking like hell, you're in the same boat as Rosie.

I like Rosie but she's been out of line at times this year. Like with Kelly Rippa. But what she said about Donald is the truth.

What I find disturbing is how anything Rosie does is defended by certain people. It's like this woman is Mother Teresa to some people even though she's loud, disrespectful, rude and arrogant.

Donald's attacks were indeed childish but what do you call Rosie's disrespect of Asians? She didn't even apologize and to add insult to injury stated that she may say something rude again. I agree with you about Donald but when will the Rosie worship end?

As a matter of "fact", Rosie did apologize.
And said as well, she wasn't aware that is
was offenssive when she said it.

She also said, it wouldn't be the last time
her words offended someone.

Rosie may not have been aware of what her comments meant,

 The whole point of The View is to debate hot topics and express your opinion. Rosie had every right to say what she did, and so did Donald in response. However, the only reason I take Rosie's side in this is that she kept her remarks about his career (and his hair, which frankly, is a big part of who he is) while Donald attacked her lifestyle, education, career, personal life, everything. It was sort of pathetic, and he's a big tool.

Luna, while I think her opinion of Trump was spot on the way she attacked him was uncalled for. I'm not criticizing her right to have an opinion at all, but my problem has more to do with her approach.

When she attacked Star and Al on her website they both refused to comment on her remarks. She did the same thing to Tom Selleck, Tom Crusie, and even Kelly Ripa. The difference is these particular entertainers didn't go ballistic on her.

She chose to trash the wrong person and is now suffering the consequences. I don't like Trump because he is sexist, racist, and arrogant. With that said I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for Rosie in this case and will say she deserved the verbal lashing. Rosie not only talked about his comb over but his failed marriages which is pretty personal to me. She chatised him for not being a moral authority and called him a car salesman. It wasn't necessarily what she said, but moreso the way she responded. Her demeanor was just flat out rude and offensive.

Donald's attack was indeed more vicious and petty as stated but I refuse to give Rosie a pass. She has been starting drama with people far too long, it's about time someone stood up to her. Again, I'm not siding with Donald at all but Rosie has to be accountable for her behaviour. This just proves everyone won't sit on the sidelines and allow you to run your mouth without attacking back. :)

Trump-O'Donnell Verbal Mud Fight Goes On
NEW YORK - The bitter battle of words between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell isn't over. "Rosie's a loser. She's been a loser always," the real estate mogul and host of NBC's "The Apprentice," said Thursday in a phone interview with The Associated Press. "Her show failed, her magazine failed. Barbara Walters gave her new life, but she'll fail at that also because she's inherently a stone-cold loser."

It all started after Trump announced last week that Miss USA Tara Conner, whose title had been in jeopardy because of underage drinking, would keep her crown. (Trump is the owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.)

O'Donnell, an outspoken co-host on ABC's "The View," created by Walters, said Trump's news conference annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Trump had no right to be "the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America," amid roars of audience laughter.

Trump fired back, calling O'Donnell a "bully," among other insults, in interviews with various media outlets, including CNN's "Larry King Live."

The feud continued this week when O'Donnell posted this entry on her Web site: "so what happens/ when u say the emperor has no clothes/ the comb over goes ballistic/ via phone to mr king."

Will the mudslinging ever stop?

"It will never end on my behalf because I've exposed Rosie for what she is: a very dumb human being," Trump told the AP. "She's got no intelligence, but I've known that for a long time. Unfortunately, Rosie's pulled the wool over the public."
What a man you are

A representative for O'Donnell said she was unavailable for comment.
