The two of the league's leading scorers will now be playing for Denver!

I cant wait to see how this Carmelo-Iverson partnership shapes up.

I am also eager to see how things play out. I think Iverson will be willing to defer. Plus Carmelo and AI will both get so many easier shots then they are used to.

Couldn't have come @ a better time for Denver. With 'Melo preparing to serve a 15 game sentence, they'll need the scoring.

As a Denver resident and Nuggets fan I'm super excited. I went from the ultimate low over the weekend to a huge high. AI will keep the team afloat until Melo gets back.

Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, and only one basketball. Interesting.....

What a great scoring tandem this will be: AI and Melo. Couldn't have come at a better time with Melo out for 15 games. This will give AI time to adapt to the Nuggets offense prior to joining forces with Anthony. Both are highly motivated to win (specially AI, who doesn't have many great years left), and should defer to the team rather than individual goals. The biggest winner should be AI as he won't be needing to force as many bad shots. I expect 25 pts and 9 assists out of him.

If Camby stays healthy, and Melo and AI mesh well together, watch out Western Confeence powerhouses!

Btw, what did Denver reimburse Philly with?

Cheers, Merry Xmas and Joyeux Noel, all rolled into one,

its hard to imagine these 2 sharing the ball, i dont quite get this trade, why trade for another scorer when you got the leading scorer in the NBA in your team already  if AI is a powerforward or a center, then it might work, but 2 scoring wingman in 1 team seems to be absurd, theyre not mj and pip..but its still too early to judge them though, i hope they can play well together :) ..and i also hope that melos suspension could be reduce, 15 games is too much :(

Andre Miller, Joe Smith, and two first round draft picks in next years draft.

It's a good trade for Philly. They free space under the cap, get a top-notch PG in Andre Miller, a complementary player who can back up Webber at the PF spot in Joe Smith, and 2 late 1st round picks to go along with Philly's own lottery pick. Good way to start rebuilding a team that was going nowhere.

Iverson and Carmello together?

Two high scoring bad boys in the same team.... good as they will compete with each other for higher points, thus very high scores... bad is that there can only be one "badass" in the team, and I wonder who will throw the first punch 1st?

'Melo Yellow and A I togther now ..
One is a sucker-punching, back-pedalling coward,
and the other is a little hoodlum who would be in jail if not for basketball.
But, they will be fun to watch, won't they ?

but it just wont be the same ........to see AI in a light blue uniform will take a lot of getting used to......playing for the rockies instead of Philly and his trademark black uniform look

Will Allen give up the ball for Carmello? It is Carmello's team.

It was a good trade for Denver.
They got a star attraction, a player who has a need to get
a ring, or at least make a run for it. That wasn't happening
in Philly, with or without Iverson. I think Philly did okay, but
that's for the future w/the draft picks.

Iverson wore out his welcome in a city that once loved him.

It is also Denver.

OK, he may find Denver to be a little less boring than
say Salt Lake City or Grand Junction...but, not that much.
Denver is a nice city, beautiful location, nice homes,
lots of space...but, it isn't Philly, it isn't East Coast.

The Broncos are the #1 team in Colorado in any sport. It's the
Bronco's world, and The Nuggets just visit.

Your Knowledge of Colorado is impressive :worship: :worship:

Broncos are tops here but AI will help fill the Pepsi center which hasn't been full since last year.

Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, and only one basketball. Interesting.....
And Smith and Boykins...

But yeah, it's Melo's team and if AI can accept that and take over some playmaking responsabilities these two could work well.

Last night, in his debut, AI got 22 and 10, nice start in a loss to the Kings, but the Nuggets team was heavily depleted.

Its gonna be a disaster guys just watch...this isnt a video game, its real life. Melo needs his shots, so does AI. Just and watch when Melo gets back, it wont be pretty.
