I saw her in Zurich two days ago and she was great. Her voice is just amazing!

Question: Who does she sing about in "Hurt"?
(Can't be her father because he was abusive...?)

I saw her as well December 2 in Rotterdam, her voice is just amazing :hearts:

Linda Perry wrote that song about her own father, Christina then changed some lyrics to make the song more about her, but it's indeed not about her father.

thanks for this info. I already thought it might be f.e. a stepdad which little Christina did not want to like or something...

The whole concert, there was not one note which she didn't sing cristal clear...

I'm happy for you! :D Christina Aguilera CAN sing!!! Especially compared to most of the pop singers like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton lol.

I liked a lot of Britneys songs, but it's not even fair to compare her voice with Christinas. I remember Britney on Top of the Pops back in the beginning singing Baby one more time... and it was just terrible

Me too. I think she would be brilliant live.

And yeah, vocally she should not be compared to Britney or Paris as that is quite an insult. Although she's not in the Mariah/Whitney league, she's not far off.

So back to the tree I go. :wavey:

Nice:)

It's terribe that there is no snow here in finland, it's 28 F now but this has been a record warm december, last week we measured 52 F:eek: and temperature hadn't gone below freezing until the 16th day. It has been almost warmer than in Madrid

I've never been keen on her music, especially after Dirrty... But the latest album changed that :yeah: Especially Hurt rules! :D Her voice is amazing, that's true ;)

I have mixed feelings about her, but every year, I become more and more of a fan. I love her songs, and I think she has a lot of talent, but I wish she wasn't so "on" on every note. As a singer, I think she has met only part of her potential. If she would drop the pseudo-soul "style" that is so wretchedly popular these days and get some nuance to her phrasing, I'd think she was great.

I agree with you.

I also always had mixed feelings about her, because I often didn't like her attitude. I only went to the concert because some of you here said I should go (thanx for that...).

She was so nice on stage, much much more likeable than in her (older) videos.
Before she sang "O mother" she sat on a chair and was talking about domestic abuse and really, the only thing you wanted to do is give her a hug! She looked so vulnerable and also so genuine there...

The press here in Switzerland said that her voice was incredible but that we wanted "more dirt" from her. That was stupid; if she would have been more dirty, the press would have said she was a slut...

But really people: if you can, go see her live.

Her "hurt"-performance was incredible and so was "Beautiful"

I have seen her on talk shows, and she is rather bright and witty.
