It is soooooooooo much better. It seems much more real, edgy. None of the manufactured over the top dramatics.

America's Next Top Model needs a makeover.

I have seen ANTM, Canada's, Britain's and Australia's NTM and the British version is, by far, the weakest. Especially the first season, which was so poor in quality (both the girls and the way it was produced) that I had to laugh and stop watching.

Season 1 was appalling - budget of about £100 per episode. Season 2 was better - but winner was ugly and r-u was only kept in as she'd been banging a footballer and they knew she'd pull in ratings. Plus she was blatantly too short and too heavy for non-glamour work.

I thaught it looked cheap and terrible...Both girls at the end walked like young girls playing runway modeling...They had no personality whatsoever...The American girls like Dani and Eva would stomp these Brits into the ground...

Why was it filmed with a cloudy lens? It looked really amateurish, and way too choreographed to me.

Yeah I'm going to have to say the word BUDGET just kept running through my mind while watching it and the girls were so 'unmodely'

The one girl that was shaped like a pear as she put it.... :help: :o I haven't seen that much shake since I eh, lets just say that was a lot of shake on the runway. ;)

My gosh and the one judge that always had a lot of cleavage showing....she made me wish she had implants. :help:

The best girl was the one who left on her on. That picture they showed of her was nice.

The winner, walked liked a cardboard cutout.

anyway, looking forward to laughing watching the 2nd edition next week.

I thought Danielle so did not deserve to win :o I do not think she is pretty at all. Joanie was much better. And they ditched Nnenna way too early.

It's on LivingTV, what do you expect?

That girl who won was about as mentally stable as a schizophrenic heroin addict on a constant IV drip of LSD. I bet she would last about 3 picoseconds in the world of fashion before having a fatal nervous breakdown. I guess people thought it was good TV though.

The girl who won had HUGE shoulders. She looked like she was going to fall over. I thought all the clothes looked absolutely terrible on her. Her shoulders stood out more than the clothes did. She was just too fat up top (which I noticed was a problem with most of the girls they choose). THe other girl, what was her name, Edwina? She should've won. Even though her walk was outdated, at least she didn't look like a pig walking down the runway.

And the one girl who called herself "pear-shaped" wasn't pear-shaped at all. She was just flabby and in need of working out and getting rid of those 20lb saddlebags she's got.

They desperately needed a new camera. It was pathetic. It looked like they shot it using a fucking webcam.

I figured the second season would be better.

The only reason I watched all 2 hours of the show was to hear all their different accents. It's refreshing.

  lol, I hung in there because of the accents also, it seemed like the girls came from all over England, a lot of different accents, all cool. The girls themselves was the farthest thing from MODEL that you could find, and all seemed Psychotic JMHO. Maybe next season???????????

The British speak WAY too fast for me. I couldn't understand them some of the time. :tape:

I wasn't saying that the models were better but there was alot more variety. They weren't the best looking girls but they were so much more diverse. I didn't feel the tokenism like I do when watching America's next Top Model. I found it refreshing.

I think I am just tired of seeing Tyra ( who seems to be getting bigger each season) doing that same tired format.

I guess I will have to watch it again because I didn't perceive it as terrible. :tape:
