There are going to be some comments like that.
RIP Castro if he's dead.
I don't never felt he was ever that dangerous to America.
This continued stigma of communism being evil when there have been some places where it has thrived is absolutely absurd.

well, if deploying missiles with nuclear warheads in Cuba wasn't dangerous to America, then you are right.:tape:

Rot in Hell, bastard...

You're very hatriotic...

(hatriotism = proving your patriotism by hating the people the government tells you to hate.)

I just felt a disturbance in the Force. Could it be that Fidel just died?

(Oh wait, it was Indy, my loyal dog, peeing over my socks).

Cheers, Merry Xmas and Joyeux Noel, all rolled into one,

Carlos

I doubt it.
That man is protected by Santeria. He is not dead yet.

Got this form Sky News which is a good source. This is from last Friday and all indications are that he may soon die. It would be quite something to see him die right after Pinochet.

Castro In Cancer Battle'
December 08, 2006

Fidel Castro has terminal cancer and may not live to see Christmas, it is reported.

The ailing Cuban President is said to have stomach cancer and be refusing treatment.

Officials have been quoted as saying his condition is not terminal.

Castro was too ill to attend his recent 80th birthday celebrations.

Yet posters proclaiming '80 more years' of Castro's leadership still hang across Havana.

And political leaders have said he will return to lead the country for years to come.

Castro has not been seen in public since last July following surgery for intestinal bleeding.

He was forced to hand power to his brother, Defence Minister Raul Castro.

He's been dead since about 1968 hasn't he?

Personally, I wish he were - sooner than later.

Then, Hugo Chaves can take over.

Er, I mean Raul Castro can take over.

Raul, don't mind Hugo right next to you.

What's the old blessing (or is it "curse")? "May you live in interesting times"

It is part of an old Irish blessing. I can't quite recall the rest of it though.
